Adds more varied squadron skins for MiG-29A (Mage and Strider).
This pack contains two replacement skins for MiG-29A and a special MREC file.
- Mage skin (Skin 04), based on Izdelie 9-18 demonstrator.
- Strider skin (Skin 06), based on KPAF modern paint.
- MREC "Fixer" skin.
Important! Read this.
All three campaign skins use the same MREC (light and metallic effects) map file as Osea skin.
Installing MiG-29_Fixer skin will alter the MREC map for Osea skin, replacing it with a flat tone one, this does not affect other people's mods.
Not installing it may cause minor visual glitch: vanilla Osea skin camo pattern appearing at certain light angles on modded skins.
Installing: make a folder named "~mods" in "% Ace Combat 7 install directory%\Game\Content\Paks", select files from the archive, depending on which skins you want to replace and put it there.

Your standalone skin-1 MREC pak does potentially cause conflicts with other packs, just a heads up.
It shouldn't. It's a flat tone MREC (meaning it has no camo pattern, only mechanics) - so unless someone made a custom glowy effect MREC for Skin 1, there won't be a problem - custom skins for Trigger won't be affected. (I'll add that to the warning to all my next custom skins).
MREC can do a lot more than that though. For example you can make the plane's paintjob glossy rather than matte, or make the canopy frame (or other detail parts) bare-metal. Nuke even managed to make a convincing carbon-fiber weave by alternating glossy/matte in MREC.
It looks like the next release of Lotsbiss' tools will be able to do MREC isolation, so this might not be a problem for much longer.
That's pretty cool. Just to be clear, MREC isolation would allow to assign separate individual MRECs to skins 4/5/6?
That's right, you could even assign each slot it's own normal map if you wanted to get crazy.
Why don't you try making a MiG-29 with KPAF nationality mark and aircraft number?
