A Shadow From Beyond is a Lovecraftian inspired take on a roguelike game.
The player must explore a randomly generated neighborhood, kill twisted cultists and un-summon monsters from beyond our realms.
It features puzzle based un-summoning events using a complex magic system built from a basic arrangement of a small number of symbols.
A Shadow From Beyond is the second game of my One-Month-Game projects, it was built between March 6th to the 30th. I did not make this game alone, I worked with a great group of people.
Programming - Anshul Goyal, David Baron
Design - Aidan Green, Scott Morin
Art - Sean Noonan (everything that animates), Aidan Green
A Shadow From Beyond is a rouguelike-ish game where the player must explore a randomly generated neighborhood full of randomized puzzle events, un-summoning avatars of dark beings.
It is now available for download on Windows below and from the downloads section.
The Mac version will be available soon.
UPDATE - And here it is!
This game was made in one month as part of a project to make a number of games this year, each with a one month development cycle from concept to completion.
I did not make this game alone, it would not have been possible without:
Anshul Goyal, Sean Noonan, Scott Morin, and David Baron.
I hope you enjoy it :)
This is a .rar of the Windows version of the game.

A cool little game! I wish there were more video games based around Lovecraft/Cthulhu mythos.
