Is this dead?
I crown thee, sir Arc, KING OF THE ISLE OF STUPID QUESTIONS.
This sounds incredibly awesome, agreed with on the point of Battlefront 2 not being very realistic, and thank you also for making it Indie rather than a mod. I have all the major moddable games, but to be honest, I find it kind of annoying to get mods all assembled, and rarely do it unless it seems extremely worth while, plus, for all those that *don't* have 'em, you're doing them a great service.
2 things from me - Hope the cover system is rather robust, similar-ish to Gears of War (don't get me wrong, it had its problems, but I found it the most enjoyable cover system so far). And the second is I hope you can find a good sound guy, the weapon-fire in Star Wars games has always been a bit lackluster to me. 'Course, they're lasers, so it's hard to add 'umph', but we'll see.
Hope the Real Life problems get sorted out. :) Good luck.

I guess you didn't see that the last update from this was over a year ago?
Rofl.
And this comment is late as well, but from my experience, a year doesn't necessarily mean dead. From being active in the Morrowind modding community, I've seen mods that were 'dead' for 2 years come back. So... I take comment dates with a grain of salt.
Dang.
Guess I have no choice but to wait...
Unfortunely it is my duty to inform you all that the the A Galaxy of War project was put on hold for an undetermined period of time due to internal issues regarding the lack of time to develop this project by most team members. Fear not trusty fans, for i promise you we shall finish this project even if we take ten years! But for now, Real Life issues are a priority.
cheers
The AGoW team.
Monochrome_ makes a good point.
No really, that paragraph alone just made me start to think about my own mod.
I like space battles, though I often find them confusing.
In any case, I'd love to see more work of this.
Dude, cant you read? This is a standalone, independent game! Screw Cry engine and screw Unreal engine, we dont want our players buying other games so they can play ours. It aint graphics that make a game immortal, its gameplay and concept. Sure it might be a lot more difficult starting to build stuff from a simple unspecified game engine like irrlicht, but at least we know the game its entirely our work and will always be free and available for players to enjoy disregard if they have top-of-the-line PCs or spent 50 bucks on a next generation graphics game so they can only mod it for a few months and forget it as soon as a better game comes out.
Still, even though we are aware our project wont be able to compete with the following generation of shooters in therms of graphics, we are doing the best we can to create a decent set graphics according to nowadays standards. So you can expect modern rendering techniques like normal mapping, shaders and maybe a bit of parallax mapping if the engine manages handle it, which will hopefully make this game far superior to to the average "Q3 or less" quality which is usually expected from independent pieces of software such as this.
If you plan on implementing space battles, newtonian physics might be your best bet, however for ground battles, you're probably better of with CryEngine, UnrealEngine, or HaVoK, if you're really serious about this mod lookin good
