The Roman testudo formation.
Unique to Romans, right? For the sake of historical accuracy.
Yes.
The game is excesive historical accurate, they are keeping it that way.
Does it swim well though?
Do the people split in combat or do they keep their formation when fighting? I always wished there would be a create a formation type where you would turn a bunch of men into a Total War Style formation which fights against others.. Dreams... but not actually needed. Would still be cool though.
Hopefully we'll be able to implement fighting in formation, for now they split up though.
Roman general: Testudo! *Imagine Rome Total War Voice here.*
I hope the Testudo is completely useless for anything other than marching towards a fortress wall with no genuine threat from enemy melee attackers if you're actually interested in historical accuracy.
Useful by a storm of arrows. Or some nomads ambush
