0 A.D. is a free, open-source, cross-platform real-time strategy (RTS) game of ancient warfare. It's a historically-based war/economy game that allows players to relive or rewrite the history of twelve ancient civilizations, from Iberia to Mauryan India, each depicted at their peak of economic growth and military prowess. Developed using Pyrogenesis, a ground-breaking new game engine custom-built to suit this project, 0 A.D. will give players a rich and entertaining real-time gaming experience.

Yep, those are clouds achieved with particles. Only visible in-game when zoomed all the way out 100%.

Excellent implementation.

BTW, any new beta you release will mean new videos on my gaming channel MayorceteGamingTV. I hope you optimise AI pathing so the game becomes more fluid and doesn't slow down when a lot of units populate the world

Description

Our new "Skirmish Map" system brings the replayability of random maps with the design and balance of hand-crafted scenarios, similar to the system employed by games like Starcraft 2 or Battle for Middle Earth 2. Skirmish Maps don't replace scenarios or random maps, but are another option available to the player.
