0 A.D. is a free, open-source, cross-platform real-time strategy (RTS) game of ancient warfare. It's a historically-based war/economy game that allows players to relive or rewrite the history of twelve ancient civilizations, from Iberia to Mauryan India, each depicted at their peak of economic growth and military prowess. Developed using Pyrogenesis, a ground-breaking new game engine custom-built to suit this project, 0 A.D. will give players a rich and entertaining real-time gaming experience.
We try not to showcase the game from angles the player is unlikely to see in a regular match. But here is a great shot of the Alpine Valley skirmish map that we hope you will enjoy.
Why not let us go into freecam?
I like that idea. That would be awesome for in game screenshots. I hope they consider it.
Because the game is conceived in a RTS manner ? Just look at the trees
So? Why not let us press a button to enable a camera to zoom in extra far or at odd angles? It doesn't damage the regular camera controls and can give us some good and cinematic angles.
In singleplayer, Ctrl-D gives you a menu where you can choose the option to go camera free.
please not! Fixed Camera is all it needs an a big plus!
These are really nice Mythos!
