Compared to Halo 2, Gears of War is the shortest game on any platform. I beat that thing in about 6 hours. Took me twice as long just to beat Halo 2, and around the same time to beat Half-Life 2: Episode 1 (maybe even longer because I was enjoying it so damn much).

I honestly don't see how Gears of War got so many high scores. Sure, the multiplayer COOP and online mode is great, fantastic, one of a kind, but the single player mode, although enjoyable, is just plain way too short for my tastes. At least the great thing is that Epic is making all the additional game content that they release free to download. That's a big boost for their cred among gamers, imo.

really it took atleast 20 hours to beat it on casual. but then again i play games differently from a lot of people.

I'm quite slow at beating games. Also, I don't even end up beating a lot of games I play unless they're really engaging. Usually I'll move on to a newer game or try multiplayer mode.

@ bugsport - I was admiring it as well, but my brother and I still beat it in one sitting. After that, I could do it by myself in the same alotted time.

Did anybody else have a lot of trouble with Raam until they wasted points on the video on how to beat him?

I mainly had trouble with him because I didn't have the torque bow.

I'm on as JoeX111. I haven't yet signed up for gold, but I have Crackdown, Gears of War. Far Cry and Lost Planet for playing. I also suck at all four. If anyone wants to join up and play anytime soon, I'll use one of my free two-day passes.

Nice, you should get Gold so we can play GoW co-op. 'Tis my favorite co-op game.

Anyone ever get to play The New Tenchu Z? Looks ok, but the 4 player co-op doesnt look that fun.

I played the demo and found it to be exactly the same as the original one released on the PS1, with marginally improved graphics.
