ThreadWatch Bug Thread

Ok there was a bug in the threadWatch system which Jackson04 inadvertantly found out. That was if a thread had an update, then it was deleted it will appear as if you permanently have 1tW when really you don't

So if anybody is experiencing a similar problem please post here and I will correct it. The bug is now fixed and as such this thread will be closed in a few days, once anyones problems have been corrected..

oh and damn jackson, i watch like 9 threads, you watch 200+ holy crap :o

I never experienced that bug but yay for it being removed.

the trouble is I watch almost every thread I reply to, and then they're closed. There should really be an option to trim threadwatches.

I think their should be a 'Clean TW' link on the threadwatch page that checks all your thread watches and removes ones that are closed when you click the link.

I dont think threadwatches should be removed when a topics closed, cos their might be a few posts at the end you wanna see.

If the thread is closed (and there are no updates since your last post), or the thread has had no replies for 2 months (from anyones post, even your own), then trim it I think.

Truth be told, I've never watched a single thread before. I don't know exactly what happens or why it works. Strange, maybe someday I'll feel the need to watch a thread. I think I will quite soon...

havent had this happen to me, mainly cuz ive only watched like 4 threads between myself...

i did notice that someone closed my 7000 thread though, teh bastards... and azz0r's 10000 thread is still open...

Yeah a trim threadwatch feature would be great, i'll work it in now

Ok, it deletes any threads which have not been replied to in over 2 weeks... i reckon it should be shortned to even a week but i guess 2 weeks will suffice

that works... could there be a save feature, so if there are threads that we want to keep track of, but wont get replied to, they can avoid deletion?

nah, no saving possible i'd say just open that thraed before you use the trim function
