[SOFTWARE] Max 5 closing on start up Thread

im running on a win 98, 1400mhz athlon, 512mb ram. i have both 3d studio max 4 and 5, when starting max 5 the normal screen pops up showing what its loading and some hot keys, once it gets done loading the plugins it crashes with no error message at all, i have reinstalled twice and still no luck. at first i thought it was crashing because of brazil, but after i reinstalled it still crashed.

Max 4 works fine and max 5 did work, it just recently stoped working.

im at a loss with this one, if you need more info i will try and give you all i can.

Try starting it twice.
