Rituals of the old is looking for a 3D modeler
Hello! I'm Poika Pilvimaa the founder of Star and serpent game studio (Starandserpent.com/).
We are looking for a 3D artist to join the development of our first game project Rituals of the old (Ritualsoftheold.com).
You get the opportunity to join the development of an interesting multiplayer voxel/lowpoly sandbox game of crafting, building, survival, roleplay and adventure.
Unfortunately we cannot pay you at this time. But we aim for a commercial release and if the game is successful we hope to employ the dev team for the continued development of the game.
Requirements:
- You can make a model from start to end if necessary: meshing and texturing. Rigging and animation skills are a plus but we do have a dedicated animator.
- You can work independently and make decisions on your own as well as follow instructions.
- You have artistic vision and you like to share your ideas and join the development process.
- You have a good work flow.
- You get along with people and don't get into arguments easily.
- You like our game concept.
- Blender or Maya skills are needed as we use Blender/Maya in our project.
Other extra info:
- Currently our team has 7 members from Finland, US and Spain.
- We are coding the game in Java and using jMonkey as a base.
- Even just getting the expenses covered with the sales would make me happy. It shouldn't be only about the money. But in the most ideal situation we could do this 100% for a living.
- We aim for a v1.0 release around 2020 so this is a long term project.
- We are currently 9+ months into development and have a working technical draft ready with multiplayer support.
