|Recruit new team for existing Indie project||Post Reply|

Hi everybody, this is the situation. Me and my team have an indie game in its late stage of development, and it's time to showcase and to market it. I want to try to get some budget for it, because I believe it has a potential. The problem is that we've been working on it for quite a long time, especially me, and the team has lost all of their motivation. I want them to come to conferences but they just don't want to. They don't care about the game.
As far as I know, no one will look seriously at a lonely wolf developer. I need a team, but the team I have wouldn't cooperate. If I would've been a part of a team and wouldn't contribute to it, I would be kicked out. But I can't kick them out. The sad fact is that I need them more than they need me. So I'm kinda stuck. I can't get a new team because the chances to get new people into a project on late stage of development are extremely low.
I've thought paying random people to come to conferences with me and pretend they've worked on the game, but that sounds ridiculous. But what other choices do I have? I can't get a new team, and my old team doesn't function. Getting a new team is only possible with budget, but there won't be any budget without showing I have a team. I'm kinda stuck.
Is the project doomed? Is paying random people to pretend they're my team a solution?
