Newbie Introduction Thread Thread

Greetings all. John/Juan or Wolf all work for me in naming,as the first is my 'step-name',second is my birth name,latter a part of that given by my native grandfather and one most commonly used by friends who know me.

Not very new to either the TW series nor to modding etc in/with other series though I could use a hand in finding shell here as the normal route of approach to find and access it is not apparent in my own comp's files. Specifically looking to access it for use with my solo campaigns in Third Age. Route of steam apps/(which mine is run through,)/data/txt>misc etc is not finding it nor are the usual [~] or [`] prompts opening shell for me. Perhaps someone else here has had the same sort of experience and might know what to do at that point to access it. If so do please let me know,would be highly appreciated.

I'm a somewhat avid player of the TW series currently,TA being the more recent,contemplating applying both or either depending upon the 'necessity' and ins and outs of DaC and Reforged ads for it: still reviewing their info to determine yea or nay there.

Have been a life-long student--nearly 5 decades,of world history,earned a professorship in Archaeology,with minors in paleantology and anthropology,considered a good writer both in historically based texts and in fantasy writing. (;) folks awaiting a few full books in series in the latter.) Love the site and info provided overall already,look to further interaction both with the site and its members/you folks.

I haven't really been lurking around here before, but I thought I'd give it a go seeing as I'm now an active part of game development.

I'm a theoretical CS Master's student, but my passion lies in game programming, so I've recently been working a lot on writing my own engine in C as a learning experience. It's really fun so far!

Hi all, I been making Android/iOS games for a couple of years but are newbies to indieDB and the PC scene. It's great to be here and I look forward to sharing the game making experience with fellow indies.

So, my name is Jace and I'm new to the whole modding and coding thing. I'm currently in College and Have taken a basic C++ intro to programming course and would really like to learn how to work on mods. I'm not entirely sure where to start though. I figured my best bet would be to maybe reach out in some forums and look for some people who would be willing to teach in exchange for free work or something of the likes. Even a point in the right direction would be great. Thanks for any support you guys can give.

I am a European Japanese living in USA. I used to be a professional game engineer, but after a layoff, I am mostly making my own game.

Currently I am developing sort of rpgmaker runs on mobile/desktop, where you can create/play/post your own games. Actually the game I have just posted was made by that tool. If you are interested feel free to contact me! I'd love to make friends with other great developers.

Hello everyone, I just today came across modDB and have started looking around seeing what is what. saw the forum here and decided to introduce myself and

see whats all going on. silly I know but I like to be knowledgeable about the communities I join..I have found very few games to really dislike, but there are

some...not naming them but I primarily stay in the FPS and RTS Genres...I have recently been getting into more Indie games but I am still not an overly huge fan of

them. I currently live in Tulsa, Oklahoma , yes, I said currently because I like to move around a lot, and i never know how long I will be in one place, or not...

I simply refer to myself as either Haawkin or Prophtek . I am a poet and novelist by trade, but I also test games for extra income. I am usually very busy but still

manage time for online communities and gaming, because gaming is my passion, so yes, I am a nerd..lol
