tis veeery nice, however what is the poly count? With those ridges along the top of the gun doesn't it exceed what HL can handle? -- Scott Reismanis |

Beaauutiful! Though I agree those ridges are a bit excessive. They'd do fine as a texture. --

Not willing to comment on the polycount? lol The Bug Cannon, a weapon for the new version of one of my mods came in at 1376 polygons. -- Josh Bush |

We have a saying around Valiant Systems. "Half-Life is crap." Our two mods which are currently in development use the HL engine, supposedly we shouldn't alocate more than a few hundred to the world models (models that lie on the ground), and view models (the model that we see held in the player's hand) shouldn't be much more than a thousand or so. Beats me why. It's not as if it has to do any damn lighting on the things. - Edited By Cheeseness On Tue 20th, Aug 2002 @ 4:26am -- Josh Bush |

Yes, I remember this model! It had like 50 ridges across the top like the teeth of a saw. Of course, at the time it sounded excessive but nowadays many models are a lot more excessive than that. --
