Hello all this is my game QuakeAssault.It is a quake/kurok mod for psp hopefully to soon be using its own engine.This game is based on the popular mechassault and mechwarrior series being made portable!We are hoping to be porting is to other systems like the DS and iphone/ipod touch after its psp release.We really need a coder and all positions exept beta testers are open!Join our site/forums and help our game and community grow!!Check it out!

This won't work. For starters, you're using an engine with the worst collision and hit detection for a mech game. The mechs won't feel anything more than humans and it'll just be a reskinned kurok with lasers.

for starters,thats bullshit and it is working as of now.So screw you and you dont have to play it when it's realesed.And a coder and easilly make it feel like mechassault,and who said i was just re-skinning?Were going to have a coder >_>

For one that understands the engine's limitations (fixed bounding areas in engines)? Not at this rate.
I've already told another person about how the same exact idea would not work. It would feel like lightweight powersuits than heavy mechs. It won't be anything more than box guys looking like mechs shooting box projectiles at each other in box maps. Be grateful that you get any constructive critical insight at all, since the psp quake development scene is a circle of sugar-coated promotional praise without knowledge on what the engine can and can not do.

easy there people :p
the movement speed is easily adjusted, but i'm afraid leilei is right about the bounding boxes.
i still like the more complex mechwarrior tho :p and that one aint doable on psp xP
