Why do people continue to pay Infinity Ward money on maps and copies they don't deserve if they haven't taken the time to improve what they screwed up on like glitches and overpowering? |

Simple answer: People are stupid Long answer: Some people dont understand that Activision gives shit about the community and only wants to make lots of money. |

Yeah... It is sad to open the steam stats page and found out that the mw2 is the most played game... |

I think the big mystery here is why people are even still playing that game. |

Am I the only one who sees MW2 as a good thing? It's like a giant fucktard magnet that draws idiots away from other games so good games can be full of people it's fun to play against -- "lets say Portal is a puzzle game, so its a rehash of Tetris" |

That is actually a good point... I agree with that. But if they would add the dedicated servers, everything would be just fine :/ (admins could kick retards away, limit weapon usage and provide good ping) Just dedicated servers and everything would be fine! |

If MW2 entertains people for endless hours, then it did its job and offered its money worth for the entertainment hours. Can we all just stfu over the fact that MW2 is the number 1 played fps of this decade? Yeah, MW2 is a bit shallow, but its polished, addictive, and honestly, fun on weekends with friends. I can name a hundred games worse than MW2. |

you complain about Activision/IW's MW2 yet you have no happily support a company that told their main financier to F-Off, took away the right to sell old computer games, hasn't produced a product worth buying since 1998, and flat out lies about their produces in order to increase sales? I take it you're not a fan of HL2, CS:S, Portal, and L4D? |

This sadly doesn't keep them off forums. |

Well, how is the Bad Company 2 community? Isn't that a better alternative to MW2 anyway? Modern Warfare 2 can easily be avoided. Don't buy it, don't play it! And don't believe the hype (which died pretty fast anyway). When I see a game and there is absolutely nothing new or interesting about it, I don't care how much the developers talk about having made the greatest game ever. I can still rely on my own judgment to know when something is not worth spending my time and money. I wonder what the next big thing in gaming will be? Is there anything comparably brainless to FPS (run, fire, duck, reload...)? We explored all the options, and I haven't seen any games yet that could deliver the same action without using the same old mechanisms. It's always fun for a while, but don't we all wish there was some genius gameplay, from time to time? - Last time I had that was with Portal, but I don't want my average FPS to feel like Portal... I want something new; not a recombination. --

I really don't care about realism on games, but still, neither of the modern warfares are based on actual wars. And mw1 is much better than the mw2 |

I don't think I've ever seen a human incapable of ducking or running given a gun that can't shoot or reload (hardly a gun in that case?). I know you want something new and revolutionary, but you're not going to see that on games based on real actions and concepts. |

We also won't see anything new so long as we have genres that govern everything to design stereotypes and markets. I think its a definite result of the corporatization of the industry. As a result creativity goes down, profits go up and we get sequels... LOTs and LOTs of hit and miss sequels. Modern Warfare 2 wasn't the first sign of this either- around the time Activision started shutting down studios was when it was starting. I still can't believe they shut down sierra- easily the stupidest move Activision has ever made. It'll only get worse when Infinity Ward is gone. Edited by: formerlyknownasMrCP |

...it's either going to be hit-or-miss sequels, or hit-or-miss premieres. Sequels at leave give you an idea of what to expect. Edited by: Cryrid |

At least then there'd be more original Ips *ba-dom tish!* Anyway its the same problem with nearly every popular media. |
