I don't want to sound too serious with this thread, but I guess it would be really helpful if the group I'm working in could get a boost with this.
Recently, I have gotten involved in the development of a Half Life 2 mod, with the role of a voice-actor, named 'Chronicle 87', and we currently have a staffing issue. The details I'm allowed to say about the mod are as follows;
-'Chronicle 87 Is a mod/game in the Half-Life 2 universe. The player takes on the role of a combine soldier named CU:87. The game begins with the player starts on a razor train with a few combine soldiers. And the combine soldier was escorted to a stasis pod in a underground facility made by the combine, This part of the game shares a timeline with Gordon Freeman getting out of stasis by the G-Man from the original game. The player emerges from stasis 20 years later due to a software failure. During this lifespan, the uprising has ended and the combine have fled from earth to pursue more submissive planets. It’s important to note that the combine’s power goes far beyond earth, and therefore, they haven’t suffered significant loss. An absurd overgrowth of vegetation is immediately noticeable after the combine abandoned earth. The player’s endgame goal is to deploy a portal storm, giving the combine the opportunity to return. However, this story element will not be communicated to the player until later into the game.'
In the group itself, we are currently looking for more level designers, coders (preferably with a degree, GCSE or education in Computer Science), as well as 3D modellers who can work with character/NPC design as well as weapon design and whatever is necessary for a mod- you get the gist.
