ViperX	Ive got windows Xp, Geforce 2. I dunno why it is but if Ive been playing any other Game in the day like Glquake, when I start Quake 3 the screen flashes with a load of white lines, as in i cant see anything, just these white lines. This usually doest happen if Q3 is the first game i go on in a day but i think its caused by winxp. Does anyone else have this problem or know why it is? Could anyone with Xp and Glquake play Glquake then Quake3 and see if it happens to you aswell? BTW, I have the Q3point release.

hammy-bob b0bzied	well i have that problem with some mods like the navyseals one it just flashes when u click load mod -- Grammar is my worst enemy along with flying chairs.

ViperX	I took a screenshot and the lines didnt show up, it cant be a game problem, maybe its something in winXP. But I have to restart my pc if i want to play Quake 3 now.

leilei The person who doesn't like anything	White flashing before all is loaded is normal. Try turning on/off vsync, fsaa, or anistropic filtering - they could be the cause. ViperX	Ive fixed it now, all i have to do is change my screens res from windows and then change it back and it works fine. No more restarts
