Surfing throug the net looking for game design documents is pointleess so I'm asking you where to find samples of game Design documents. Is there any common structure I could use to convert my weird ideas into a standard. Or at least is there a checklist which contains all important features such a document should handle. Thanks for your help. I'm as new in the game industrie as germany is soccer worldchampion |

Well, here's one example, and here's another one. Just google "Game Design Document template/example" and there'll be some hits. I wouldn't say there's any "standard" when it comes to a design document. The most important part is making it understandable, and consistent. If others are going to read it in order to do something from it, they need to understand what you want. In the consistency part, it's quite obvious, group together what belongs together. Don't mix characters with terrain etc. Also, Germany has won three times before, as West Germany. |
