Yep, I agree with this one. If someone visits my profile, he can see that I am working on a lot of mods and games which I have little to no association with. I would really like to choose which ones will show up on my profile. -- Creator of the Half Life 1 mod Deflections.

Are there any plans to add notifications for when a comment has been posted on a page, perhaps as an option? Currently, you're only notified if a PM has been received or someone replies to your comment (the emailing of which isn't all that consistent, I've noticed), with everything else requiring you to manually check for and making them easily missable. If such notifications were to linked to the PM system, it'd make communication a lot smoother and intuitive too. |

What I really meant was this: I may be a member of a dev group that is developing three mods and a game, and I actually only help out/work on one of these projects. But, because I am a member of the above-mentioned group, every mod and game that group develops is showing up on my profile and it looks like I am working on all of them. I don't know if this could be adjusted by the group's manager or not though. If not, it would be really helpful for us to be able to choose which projects will show up or not on our profiles. Signed up to the testing group, looking forward to seeing updates in the future and will be happy to provide feedback! One request to possibly try out - would it be possible to use YouTube videos directly on the mod page instead of being forced to upload them to ModDB? It would be good since we can use YouTube trailers across multiple sites and if we can have the actual YouTube player to count the views on ModDB instead of splitting it across YouTube and ModDB I think it would be far better. At least just having the option would be nice! |

I removed the Adobe Flash Player from my computer. Now I can not watch videos on moddb. Do you plan to make a player without flash technology? |

Any plans for revamping moddb's comment system? For example: When someone comments on my profile, you have to refresh the page. Same thing with PMs. You need to refresh moddb for it to show. We all kinda need a revamp of the comments. Anyways, will this suggestion be included in v5 or it is already planned? Edited by: _revenant.4K -- _revenant.4K

Hmm, I don't quite get what you suggest. Would you like ModDB to add our reviews in our forums' signature? I don't see a reason why, but that's only my opinion. I fully agree with your review though Another thing that I would find convenient, is for the implementation of a [X] (unwatch) button next to each thread you are currently watching (when you visit your threads tab). This way, you won't have to visit every thread you are watching and click on the Stopwatch option. -- Creator of the Half Life 1 mod Deflections.

You can embed almost anything on the site, you just need to add /widget to the end of the URL (doesn't work for reviews, but it works for mods, games, engines, articles, downloads etc). For example Halflife 2:

Is there planned support for better analytics in V5? Currently it seems a bit limited and it would be great to see more information about the kind of people viewing our mods so we can tailor news posts towards them. If there are no plans for in-built support, the option to add your own Google Analytics tracking ID would be quite neat. |

No plans yet @mattfiler but these are improvements that can and will be made with time. Present focus is modernizing, next step will be adding new features. -- Scott Reismanis |

Were emails always visible to other Moddb users (regardless of whether you've selected to hide it or not), and are there plans to change that? Only recently realised mine was visible to other users, and would appreciate the option to hide it from everyone or restrict it to only friends. |
