Hey guys, im just going to jump right in.
So im studying 3D Design & Animation, thus having the interest in game development.
Im now in my final year, with one project left, the last chance to make something really awesome.
Ive been apart of the Indie DB community for some time now, 6years and 3 different profiles (from when I was 16 years old) if im correct.

So I know this inst the forum or even website to post this, but its the only place I know where I can get motivated & talented people to help me out and give them the credit in return, because if your gonna work for free credit better be given.

I know what your thinking, its the promise every "project leader" makes, BUT get this...

For my previous semester I got 100% for all of my projects, granted the standard for 3D is pretty damn low in South Africa, but still that shows that im able to complete my College work.
And hands in reasonably OK work.

!!! I NEED HELP WITH MY FINAL ANIMATION PROJECT !!! <------------------------------- IF YOU DONT CARE SKIP TO HERE

....is what I was getting at and I need help from you guys.

This is my project that has to be handed in and marked, its serious to me, so please apply if your willing to do the work and push through with me.

Concept Artist - Knows how to draw front, side, back concepts CORRECTLY*.
Creative and out of this world thinking,
I will be providing a clear explanation and reference images.
Preferably someone who studies Concepting or just finished.

Sound Artist - Able to create acceptable quality sounds eg. Ambient, Effects, Editing voice.
Able to work fast to meet the overall deadlines, I know this is asking alot.
I will be providing a clear explanation of what I need.
Preferably someone who studies Sound or just finished.

This is a long shot but, someone who can advise me on the flow of the story, camera angles... Someone with directing skills I guess.

Please have proof of your work ready to show me.
If accepted you will also be give the story documents.

Please send me a PM or Skype me on christo533

Thanks guys

I can't offer any help with sound design, but if you need someone to compose music, drop me an email via my website.

Looks like you have a firm grip on how music dictates emotions throughout a story and that's gold.
I would really like your help with the music.

Im still looking for someone to help me with the object based sounds.

How does your school allow this? I had a similar idea, except I wanted to realize a bigger project than one man could have handled. My teachers told me that it would be unfair towards the other students and difficult to grade my project. So they didn't allow it, and I actually understand that reasoning. When you are studying 3D you should normally be able to draw your own concepts/storyboard, do the Post Work (After Effects, Photoshop) and possibly create a documentation with InDesign. At least that was all required for my degree.

Thanks for asking,
but we were told that we can use any tools and software as this isn't about grades anymore, its about creating something impressive, because this is our final animation project.
Yes we do get taught how to concept and storyboard, which im already halfway done with, but on this one we don't get marks for the story board or concepts only final animation and as 3D Artists they dont expect us to be able to do sound design.

On that note, im still looking for someone who can do sound effects.

Wow, your school is a lot cooler than mine! that is such a great idea to give students total freedom in their final project and let them go wild. I had to choose one of the five projects my school suggested, even though I had written and storyboarded and animatic'd three of my own ideas. The school found my own ideas either to complex to realize or too difficult to grade. So I was left grinding through a Dior advertisment, havin 0 fun on the way and a lot of stress.

Could you give me a link to your school, btw. I'd like to send the #**!ยง$%# teachers at my old school the link to see how it is done. BTW, this was my old school:

Yeah, for the remainder of the year we switched back to our other lecturer and hes been doing the same routine for 5 years and this semester decided to change his Lessons for us and go all out.
He is taking us briefly through every stage storyborading right through to post effects, we are taking it week for week to handle each of the above mentioned as we get to each stage.

I now remembered his words were something like
"im not teaching you software anymore, you are allowed to use any software you'd like, as long as I can open up the file in 3ds max and grade it"
- Pieter Swart

lol

So basically they are limiting you, We have also been somewhat limited by our other lecturer, the one we were with at the beginning of the year, but its kiiind of understandable because he only does animation and XSi, but still.

Id say blow them away, dont do it for the marks, because at the end your portfolio means more than your degree/diploma. Just remember not to bite off more than you can chew, if you get what im saying.

At the moment my course is so much fun, we don't get buried in work, but you still have to do your part, so they kinda give us the time to do something extra.

Whats this Dior AD?

Your schools page is german, can roughly understand it tho.

Invite me on Skype: christo533 and we can chat some more.
