I don't play Halo or any Windows Live game and I will never be playing them. I might watch the movie, if there ever is one and if it's done by the same guy who made the halo films with live-action footage. Might be something in it, it's a very heroic kind of story. Nothin unusual, but a guy wearing a BMX helmet, who knows all about Spartan Lifestyle might be fun to watch, as long as he kicks arse.

i quite sure the original halo was ment to be a 3d person tacticle game with squads. Not super uber 1 person FPS

The plot was for an RTS, and didn't include any silly jumped-up super humans, from what I've read.

No, Halo Wars is a (not very impressive) spin-off of what became Halo :p

It was origionally suposed to be a Mac game IIRC.

Mac RTS > Mac third-person shooter > Mac first-person shooter > nabbed by MS to be a FPS launch title.

I've actually heard Ensemble has fixed a lot of the problems with RTS games being on the console. These guys did work on some seriously great games in their day, but it's too bad that after this game they will be shut down.

I'm just glad you can use a keyboard and mouse on the PS3. At least the option is there. You have to pay a lot of money to get that on the 360.

You can never fix the inherent problems, only dumb down the game to suit.

Exactly. You're still using a controller. There just isn't a good way to adapt RTS to that.

Every RTS or simulation I've ever played on a console was way sub-par compared to the PC version. Not much more to say really - empirical testing shows it to be so.

a mac rts would have been hell, especially since when halo was first announced, 1-button mice on mac were dominant

havnt tried it myself, but you can, as long as both the mouse and keyboard are generic usb

why cant PCs be as cheap as the PS3 and just as powerful...

A halfway decent one is quite a bit more powerful.

Lol. A $600 PC is at least twice as powerful as the PS3.
