developing a zombie-style platformer Thread

Hello,

I've been developing a small 2D game that is basically a run-and-gun shooter. It's basically Left 4 Dead/Back 4 Blood/World War Z but 2D.

While I think I've developed a half decent running game- I'm having the issue of actually building interest/a community of people. Or even attracting attention/downloads for that matter. Would anyone have any suggestions for getting the word out for your game? Or do you guys think maybe this is an idea that isn't very attractive in the 2D game world?

(I'm not going to link my game because I didn't want this to seem like a shameless ad)
