Any word on whether its a remastered remake or just a port allowing touch screen controls?

I've heard both all over the place.

It'll be almost a straight port, but with touchscreen functionality, dual-screen presentation, wireless play (!!??), and a new dungeon. Good stuff.

In the press release, it'll be released here in North America by the Holiday season.

EDIT: They have released the first trailer.

I would say this would be their attempt at testing the waters once again to see just how popular Chrono Trigger still is, and based on that success, you'd see a brand new game in the series make its appearance, perhaps at the Tokyo Game Show or the Square-Enix Festival next year.

mmm, i would have to buy it for sure. I have the original, and Playstation Version already ~ but it would be nicer to see a sequel after Chrono Cross for me.
