Blurry video Thread

I've uploaded an .avi video (it looked fine when I played it several times offline) but upon uploading and playing it in the ModDB page, it is horrendously pixelated and blurry around the edges.

What's going on and how can I fix it?

Most likely the compression you used to encode it at made it blurry.

What program and rendering/encoding settings did you use?

I used Gource to produce the video and Debut Video Capture to record it.

I changed no settings and I will confess I have ZERO idea about recording videos whatsoever.

Can't help, never heard of (but did look up) or used those programs.

Ok, I planned to record a gameplay video but I'm a little scared that it'll end up looking as sucky as this one did, for some reason. Help?
