Hi All, So I'm really into Augmented Reality, but many of the AR games are not very compelling in my opinion, so I wanted to make a game focused on AR to create a new method for gameplay. I'm new to game development, so I would really appreciate any feedback on the idea. World: The game world mirrors the natural physical environment. However, the world is all part of a large kingdom, unilaterally ruled by the current queen or king. Additionally, all royal lines have the ability to control the elements of nature, including fire, flora, tierra, and wind. Story: You are the child of the king, potential air to the throne. As tradition stands, you must battle and defeat your other siblings in order to become the next king/queen. Gameplay: The elements are primarily controlled through gestures and body movements (similar to how Avatar the Last Airbender controls elements). You can train, developing skills both in attack and defense, and then test those skills against your siblings. You battle each sibling individually, and have both health and elemental energy to draw from (when you elemental energy is depleted, you can no longer control the elements, and can only dodge or redirect your opponents attacks). Throughout any battle you have the option to surrender, in which you will have to regroup and battle that sibling at another time. If you chose not to surrender and die, you must start over, losing all your gained experience in training and previous battles. In the same way, you can offer the opportunity to surrender to your siblings or kill them. If you kill your opponent, they are dead for the remainder of the game. Your ferocity levels increase, allowing your moves to create more damage. If offer your opponent the chance to surrender or accept their appeal to surrender, they will regroup and challenge you at a later date (just as you would regroup and challenge them if you surrendered). However, your sensitivity increases, allowing you to better sense your future opponents moves and react accordingly. Platform: Mobile Any and all feedback is appreciated! Also, please reply if you have any questions/need clarifications. Thank you! |
