Adding a game to Desura but a problem Thread

Hello all! A few months ago I tried to add a game to Desura (DDay Normandy).

I was told by an email that the game cant be added here because Im not the game owner or something like that. Ive tried to contact the head coder of this mod on the www.DDayDev.com but I think he is AWOL or to busy. Im sure he wouldnt mind if this game was publish here after all he is the only coder left. Its a free game very fun. I was hoping the Mods here could reconsider this because this site is about games and this is a free game.

Hello Kvaki, and Hello Desura Mods! This is Darwin. A developer of DDay Normandy and was a part of Vipersoft back in the day. Ive talked to Kvaki a few weeks ago and hes been trying to get DDay Normandy on this site. Ive checked his own page. It's very nice, but Kvaki and I would like to see DDay Normandy on this site. I giving Desura admins proper permission to Add it here. If they need any help or questions feel free to PM me. I'm sure plenty of people would love to play this free game and most of all to see DDay Normandy on this site.

ok ok u got me lol. ya no dev people left so....? its been over a month and i messaged them all and no responces so....? they all are dead or something.

Dont matter if they are dead bud, we do not put games on the service without the agreement being signed by the original developers or current IP holders.

Ok well. He finally responded. He said the game was developed under the GNU license. Its legal to be distributed for free. I really dont understand why you (have) to have a signed agreement or something. This IP holder guy is even to lazy to make an account here and say yes please put up the game here but he's done so much coding in the game over the last few years. I dont get it. If this isnt ok with you guys I give up i guess
