Hi everyone. I'm posting here to invite everyone to participate in the upcoming #A11YJAM game jam. The #A11YJAM game jam is designed to raise awareness of the accessibility barriers encountered by people with disabilities when playing games and encourage developers to design their games with these potential barriers in mind. The #A11Y hashtag is commonly used on places like Twitter as shorthand for accessibility, hence the name of the jam. It runs for 7 days from May 9th to May 15th, ending in time for Global Accessibility Awareness Day. Participating developers are asked to adapt and improve a game they have made for a previous game jam to overcome an accessibility barrier and make it playable to people who would otherwise have been excluded.
