REVISED LIST OF UPCOMING UNIQUE BUILDINGS
As you can gather, Koreans didn't get the Elevated House because I wasn't able to implement it. Here's a revised list with buildings that I'm 99% sure I can implement. Again, compromises had to be made, as modding in this game is an excruciating exercise in trial-and-error.
1. PERSIANS, NUBIANS, EGYPT
Booby Trap / Mines ( VI - VIII )
A building that can be placed inside your border that produces invisible mines. The building works best if it is razed after placing the mines to avoid detection (this is because I can't make buildings invisible..). Will cost some knowledge to build to avoid spamming.
2. DUTCH, JAPAN
Sea Outpost/AA Gun ( VII - VIII )
An outpost or AA gun that you can place anywhere on water. Will also have some limited capability against naval units. Costs knowledge to discourage spamming.
3. MONGOLS, LAKOTA
Raider Stable ( I - V )
A recruitment building that produces Raider Cavalry. Raider Cavalry are fast, cheap and really fast to build horse archers that are great for rushing enemies. Only 1 Raider Stable may be built at a time and can be placed outside your borders. The stable is defenseless, costs a solid amount of knowledge to build and is very fragile.
4. MAYA, BANTU, AZTEC
Raider Barracks ( I - V )
A recruitment building that produces Raider Infantry. Raider Infantry are fast, cheap and really fast to build melee units that are great for rushing enemies. Only 1 Raider Barracks may be built at a time and can be placed outside your borders. The barracks is defenseless, costs a solid amount of knowledge to build and is very fragile.
5. CHINA, INDIA
Recruitment House ( I - VIII )
A recruitment building that produces Army Reserve infantry. Army Reserve infantry are slightly stronger militia that cost 2 pop but are very cheap and fast to build. Only 1 Recruitment House may be built at a time and can only be placed inside your borders in city range. The Recruitment House is defenseless, costs a small amount of knowledge to build and is very fragile but is available from the first age to the last. The building will also be able to house a huge amount of these units (around 50-70 units).
PLANNED UNIQUE UNITS
This is also the final list of unique units that I'll implement into the game. With this, every nation will have 7 uniques. I might add more at a later time, but as I'm running out of entries in the files, this may not be possible.
1. FRANCE
Observation Baloon ( V )
The observation balloon will be a fairly cheap air unit that flies at a high altitude and has a large LOS. It will be slow, but hard to hit. But if it is hit, it will be killed quickly.
AND
Buccaneer ( V )
A fast light ship that is more powerful than normal light ships. Will cost mostly a hefty sum of gold to train.
AND
Remove Chevalier ( II )
The Chevalier will be removed to make space for the new units.
2. JAPAN
Yamato Battleship ( VII )
A large, powerful battleship with less armor and HP and more focus on firepower.
OR
Ninja ( III, IV )
A Spy (or Scout) unit that is much faster and has much more craft. (perhaps even an attack?)
OR
Helicopter Carrier ( VIII )
An Aircraft Carrier that carries Helicopters. (this one is questionable, if it can be implemented)
3. LAKOTA
Remove Repeating Rifle Horse ( V ) to make space for Raider ( V )
The Repeating Rifle Horse will be removed in order to accommodate for the new Raider unit from the new unique building - Raider Stable.
A SMALL UPDATE FOR THE STEAM VERSION
I'll start working on a Steam-friendly version after I iron out the graphical problems in the last few versions and work my way up to v6.0. Look forward to a Steam version of the game (and the link to the workshop posted here) this summer!
awwwh but they were historical in the army the Stratiotai :(
Well the Stratiotai are still in there. I only removed the Royal Stratiotai. I'm running out of free entries for new units and the Greeks had 1 too many.
