Hey, please tell us something about yourself (yourselves)!

Hey, my name's Helge, I'm the leader of the Red Zone Europe mod, and also of Advanced Warfare and Tiberian Apocalypse, I'm 17 years old, German, and have been living in Spain for the past 7 years. I fluently talk German, English and Spanish. Hmm...what more is there to say? My hobbies would be Sports, specially riding bike, handball, basket ball, swimming and inline-skating, Gaming, both on PC and consoles, drawing, not very good at it tho, and of course, modding.

Please tell us something about your Mods ! (Show some links etc)
Well, I'm working on Red Zone Europe, Advanced Warfare and Tiberian Apocalypse mostly on my own, I do ocassionally get help from other people, specially in form of concept arts from Anubis. Since this Interview focuses on Red Zone Europe, RZE for short, I'll be focusing on that. RZE Plays 15-20 years in the future, no precise date there. The Western Coalition, WC for short, is at war with the European Union Defense Force, EUDF, due to a accident with an antimatter weapon that vaporised a EUDF military base. Most of the tech used in RZE is not arround today, or at least, not used in the military if at all. It's not realistic, but not trying to be so neither.

What makes your Mod so special? What is the difference to other Mods ?
Special? :P Well, I don't know what to answer here to be perfectly honest. I'm making it for fun and fun only, I put in things that I think to be cool, awesome and completely over the top. The Difference to other mods is that I am still trying to keep it somewhat realistic, for the time it plays in, but sometimes I fail epically horribly at being realistic. Did you look at the Hydroaccelerator Cannon? Realism can kiss goodbye. *gg*

How long did the development take // How long will it take until it’s released?
I've been working on my mods for a few years actually, I don't know how long it takes until the final release, but both RZE and TA have somewhat playable versions out already, Advanced Warfare not so much, I plan to release that one once its finished.

Will the AI be able to handle this Mod? Will there be any problems?
One thing I have to applaud to EA: I don't have to script the AI to use the new units, it uses them automatically! However, since the gameplay will differ quite a bit from the original CnC3, I doubt it will work well.

Do you have any future plans for your Mods or your real life? What’s about to be next?
I am yet to graduate school, after that I might go back to Germany or so to learn game design, but nothing really sure yet TBH.

How important is the community for you?
Very. I try to implement many ideas I get from the fans, etc.

What do you think about the situation now after the release of CnC4?
Well, CnC4 was, to say it in german words, a "schuss in den ofen". EA obviosly doesn't care much about the community anymore...oh wait, did they ever care about the community At all?

How easy it is to Mod CnC4 in contrast to other games? Easier or more difficult?
If it is moddable, then it will probably be the same as CnC3 and RA3. But I doubt it will be moddable to say the least. It's an MMO, MMOs usually aren't moddable.

What do you think about the support of EA and the Community?
EA's doing a whacky job, but the community is all the greater :)

Are there any problems with the Mod or within your Team? Or is all working out perfectly?
I don't have a team. Sometimes I have to scrap or rething some ideas because the engine doesn't allow for a feature I want. Sometimes the compiler refuses to work, then I have to lock it away for a bit :P Due to CnC3's limitations I had to make All aircraft to be VTOLs, but that's about the only major issue

What is your next project / the project you’re working on at the moment?

I'm leading RZE, AdvWf and TA, also I'm helping here and then on GenX, and I work as modeler on Asylum. Here and then I help Slye_Fox with code issues in ConRed.

How did you get the idea to make this Mod? How did it all start?
I'm not entirely sure, but the "detonant" for me to start working on RZE were the numerous EU-CnC mods, and I wanted to have my own :)

I like the CnC-community, it is the best game-community I know. You rock guys!
