TBCW Alpha ver. 2.0 (WIP)

Classes Rework (WIP):

Republic:

  • Self healing abilities will be removed entirely, except for healers. Developers comment: the fact that clones auto-regen their health really enabled poor plays and made the use of an healer pointless. Now that healing is an exclusive of the healing class, this will make that class not only more engaging, but also more effective and "meta".
  • Clone Trooper kit: DC-15c, DC-17 pistol, 1 EMP Nade, 1 Thermal Detonator, Melee. Developers comment: in the show we see that the basic troopers always carry EMP Nades and not only Thermal Detonators. The number of EMPs has been limited to 1 because, since this nade can pass trough shield, Clone Trooper's kit would become OP. Also the gun will feel more as a carbine/SMG than a powerful rifle with crazy damage and range: range and damage are DC-15 rifle's job!
  • Clone Assault Troopers kit: DC-15, RS6 Rocket Launcher, 3 Thermal Detonators, 1 Explosive Charge. Developers comment: this class was supposed to be the "demolition class", but actually his kit was really conflicting with how the class was supposed to work. Instead of a mid-long range explosives specialist, the class felt more like a flexible brawler that can create space spamming EMPs and still be a marksman. Actually, the weakness of this class should be exactly that yes he can destroy stuff, but should be countered by barriers, aka Droidekas, while Clones have only one EMP to eliminate the Droidekas. So this open an interesting window for meta plays and team work, since Droidekas will become as menacing as their Clone Gunners counter part. Also, Rocket Launcher reload time will be shrinked, to make the class more engaging.
  • Clone Sniper kit: DCX sniper, Advanced DC-17 pistol, 1 Flashbang, 1 Scouting Mine, Enhanced Tracking of Enemies (Passive ability). Developers comment: what we always felt lacked in the sniper class was an actual scouting ability that allows a real sniping gameplay. Also the sniper rifles will have a charging shot, so that you will always be able to shoot them but you will need to charge them up to get a powerful shot that deals a lot of damage. Flashbang and ad.DC-17 combo will make this class a beast even in close range in skilled hands. This class will feel, for the ones who played Overwatch, like a "Mc Cree-Widow".
  • Clone Engineer kit: DC-17 pistol, Fusion Cutter, 3 Mines, 3 Ammo Dispenser, 1 Deployable Turret. Developers comment: with this rework we tried to split again the classic angineer class and specialize two distinct types of gameplay. Clone Engineer gameplay now revolves all around building and spamming, but no autoturrets will be there to help your laziness: you will need a trooper to shoot your turret! But since the power of fixing vehicles, deploying turrets, spam ammo and be able to perform a consistent area denial and counter flanking with mines have already a huge impact, we had to balance things off a bit: you have a really low damage output in terms of primary weapons. In order to play this class correctly you will have to stick to your building abilities and play around your team more than any other class. But if the things will work fine, you will be a serious issue for your foes!
  • Clone Medic kit: DC-15c, Healing pistol, 1 Health Buff, 3 Bio-nades, Health-Regen (Passive). Developers comment: medic class was the most bland and useless unit in the mod. Only 1 Ammo-Health dispenser and little to no incentive to play this class. Now you will be able to heal your allies in an active and engaging way. You will also be able to throw nades that heal your allies and slowly damage enemies like a flame thrower burst, but with much less damage.
  • Clone Heavy kit: Z-6 Rotary Blaster Cannon, DC-17 pistol, 1 Damage Buff, 1 Deployable shield, No Jump and Sprint. Developers comment: in the past I stated that Heavy should be a dude who cleans up rooms fast and quick from a large amount of enemy targets. Yes, this is fun and jazzy, but the problem with this is that the Heavy class is extremely flexible, to the point that he was basically able to rush the entire enemy lines on his own. This was ridicolous and didn't depend exclusively from the power of his gun. We want the minigun to feel powerful and menacing, but we don't want the Heavy to be an OP brawler with no cons. For this reason we made him more stationary and front line based. He has also a slightly larger health pool, to make him the perfect "tank" frontliner of the team.
  • Clone Recon ARF Trooper kit: DC-15c, DC-23 shotgun, 1 Stun Grenade, Melee, Enhanced movement speed (Passive). Developers comment: this class was born removing the shotgun from the engineer and trying to work around this weapon to create a new engaging class to play. A thing that the mod doesn't have currently if we consider the other units kits is a flanker: a dude that can easily get behind enemy lines and disrupt them. The Scout from TF2 gave us a brilliant example on how you can make a flanker work in a fun but balanced way: you will be really fast and you will have a high burst ability, but with limited options except for that.
  • Special units will not be changed at the moment.

  • Unexpected CTD will occur "randomly" in Umbara: Shadow Forest and Coruscant: Jedi Temple.
  • Some users will experience a regular CTD every 5-10 minutes in Umbara: Shadow Forest.

Fixed Bugs

  • Reward weapons prevent human players from switching weapons.
  • Touching a wall or object when double jumping as a Commando Droid (named as "Magnaguard" in the current version) will trigger a bug that will stuck the animation of the character and will make it bounce around the map with the physics of a ball.
  • On Coruscant Magnaguards may experience a bug while using the Electro Stuff that prevent them from slashing and will stuck them in their position until the weapon is swapped or the character dies.

Ummm maybe with all. "Maybe" because I mostly play with Jet Soldier class (The guy with the Z6 Rotatory Cannon). I change from the Z6 to the DC-15S and suddenly it gets stuck, I have to turn off the PC, because neither with the task manager, the ALT + F4 and the CTRL + W can not be closed

hit ur windows key + L it should bring u to ur lock screen then press alt esc and you sound be on ur desktop then press the windows key plus tab and click add desktop and open task manager on the other desktop and close battlefront 2 then you can go back
