for what this engine in development brings to the table at the current date, its current asking price and its options, it may very well grow to be one of the best low-high-end (low price, high end possibilities) indie engines out there.

I love this engine. It's got a way to go but it's Extremely easy to use I was amazed how quickly I things working
The dev team are quick to respond if I have an issue. They are always friendly too
Doesn't matter what time of day or night I contact them they respond
I've tried other engines but I have to say I'm sticking with this one and I recommend everyone to use this engine too

This is an awesome engine and is getting better with every update release.

The dev team are brilliant, friendly and helpful and they respond quickly if you have any problems.

I highly recommend everyone uses this engine as it is the best.

I tried out the demo and will be buying the commercial version. It has an easy to use work flow and improvements appear to becoming at a rapid pace. With its low price and royalty free license it is a definite steal.

Normally for a beta I wouldn't give such a high rating but based on the what the developers have accomplished so far, their roadmap, and the rate at which they are releasing updates I can only be impressed. They are also very active in the community and resolving bugs and issues as quickly as possible. They are very open to suggestions from the community.

After I buy the commercial version and create some content with it I'll come back and update this with more details.

I bought this product a year or so ago and comparing it to leadwerks game engine it has over 100% more features and very regular updates, for the beta price of £40 and you get 1 years worth of updates it is a steal, the community is small at the present time but is growing very fast with people willing to help with any one even beginners.

This is a royalty free engine and we will be looking at using this engine for all of our future development projects.

The engine is OSVR Partner.

The current state of the engine is developing in many ways and has come very far in the past year alone.

Big Points in progress and planned for the near future:

* Gen 2 rendering with PBR, roughness and metal (as with the big engines).
* GUI and HUD editor (coming soon).
* Visual Mechanics editor (for none coders).
* Plugin system (so you can make your own plugins to aid development and in game content)
* Built on a module system so if a bug hits one part of the engine the whole thing doesnt come down.
* Regular Updates
* Very responsive dev's on there forum.
* A clear and transparent development team that keeps you updated on progress.

* A definite contender to Unity 3D even though it is in BETA at the moment it has more features then the budget/indie/loyalty free engines that I have tried out there.

In my opinion you should get it now for only £40 and have a active hand in suggesting features that you want in a games engine and learn how it can help you in getting the results that you can not in other engines.

I have tried many game engines (both free and paid) in the past, and Skyline just has (or will have) everything I want to make my next game. Also, the devs are friendly, active and have big plans for the future.

Skyline is still fairly new and has a long way to go, but is already a terrific engine. Enough features and options to give you a lot of power, but not so many as to be overwhelming. Even though the engine has many options, it's easy to navigate the UI, without getting lost in a cascade of menus. The terrain and environment editors are the best I've seen - creating realistic environments in a few minutes. Whilst scripting skills are always handy, is possible to create complex behaviours using the action system.
I've barely scratched the surface of the engine, but I'm highly impressed with what I've seen. The fact that there's much more to come (eg navmesh) is just a bonus.

Very numerous features with great lighting,
Good eye catching, flexible editor.
A lot of examples to start with.
Constant evolution of features and engine.
Developers always present on the forum, answering very nicely to suggestions and questions.
Not 10/10 because nobody's perfect. (aside me ;)

Great engine! responsive developers! Behind him a great future!
I really like lua and so I have tried probably all game engines that allow you to write the game logic in this language. All engines have their pros and cons and Skyline Engine is no exception, but these disadvantages developers quickly removed, just ask them - it's great! In the end, I am sure, the Skyline will remain only the pros :)

this engine is in beta as it has not even got to v1.0 yet and already rivals unity 3d and other engines for indie devs...
packed full of power, features and ever growing to produce top quality games it will be a industry standard when word gets out :D..
the only reason I didn't give it a full 10 is because its a beta not released to v1.0 and has some features still to be packed with the engine, stay tuned or test for free :)
