So, CosmicPhantom on behalf of Info-Shock Software offered to help us by making this. I just finished looking it over and adding a few last minute changes of my own, and now here it is! The changelog is in the description, and the install instructions are inside the rar folder.

No, to solve the problem perfectly, go to C:/documents then select Command and Conquer Generals then select options, find resolutions and replace the resolution: 800 670 to your screen resolution then press Ctrl + S then go to the zero hour at the documents and do the same thing

Few months old but try going into "My Documents" into Zero Hour data. Look at "Options" or right click it and click properties. If it's .ini then open it into text doc. "save as" .txt.
If it's .txt do .ini. Either way the result is two documents the same name with different file formats.

I tried the resolution and it didn't work. I tried downloading the options file and it seems to be deleted or removed. Can you give me a copy? I really want to play this game again.

Why did you take out the marines? It's good to have diversity among the factions, different troops with different load outs for different situations. Although they're not in combat attire, just change up their model & rename them captains.
Marines have not been taken out completely, they're simply now exclusive to USA Assault.

Its your pc specifications, If you're gonna download C&C Generals Zero Hour Mods like Contra and Rise of the Reds, It'll be even more laggy

Follow this simple way, Download the modification for the zero hour, set it up, extract the files on anyfiles you want or in the zero hour file (better somewhere seperated) then copy all zero hour files and paste it to the folder you extracted the zero hour mod to.
Also, Having trouble with resolution? Follow these steps! Basically, just go to documents and go into C&C Generals or Zero Hour folder then enter "options" and find resolution then change the current resolution into your screen resolution
Install instructions are inside the .rar folder

There is one .txt file inside the .rar folder. I have no idea where you got those 579 pages, but you're way off.
