Hi, I'm downloading it now.
I assume this file substitute 0.9 + 0.9FIX, right?
I mean, it's just DL, put in the data folder, create new shortcut and go?
nope, it appears to be more complicated than that.
Sometimes I think that in this virus age that we live in we should make a petition to stop with these installers, all we need is the *.BIG file.
Just an opinion ...
Not everyone is able (or willing) to learn how to do a manual shortcut, if an installer is done correctly then it's still a good thing.
I agree that *.big files on their own are helpful for those who know how to use them though!

Do it once and just have to throw the big files in data folder.
And .exe installers make installing mods like this nearly impossible for those who don't use Windows. Not very smart approach, given the fact that HW2 is crossplatform game. Especially with installers that have the nasty habit to refuse to start when no registry entries are present, which successfully prevents them from being unpackable under wine/darwine.
Damn it the thing won't run.

How did you?
Change the name of the installer. The Chinese characters in the name cause an error. The installer is in Chinese so you will have to wing it unless you can read that language.
How do I make it English? Will that be in a later update?

how do you even install this? i cant find a big file or even get the installer to work
can someone tell me how to get this to work, ive downloaded it (just this version) and the installer says 'the file name, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect' im a bit nooby when it comes to modding so a bit of help would be much welcomed
I already answered this. Change the name of the installer to something else. Whether it be blah or cha. It doesn't matter.

Yea I know. I just wing it when I play and try to go by memory after I figure what is what.
installed it, but every time i try to click on an option it takes me out of the game, ive tried all options but it all forces me out and opens a homeworld.exe in windows internet explorer
ur install directory is wrong ! look for the real one !
Does this release include a proper AI yet? One that researches and/or needs money to build its fleets.

game crashes anytime i try to start a deathmatch, anyone know how to fix?
it would be easier to get working if we had the .big files
and do i need to download earlier versions?
Install into a temp folder then install the .big file along with the locale folder from an earlier working version. It works fine!!
It workks but not fine, you get a lot of strings ingame.
Also the launcher I suggested above provides much better graphics than the mod own launcher, at least in my machine here ...

ok everyone. if this version is the same wich i will find out in a few minutes. there should be a few new files in you "\Bin\Releases" Folder with the file extension of ".bat" these will start the game properly.
creating a shortcut to the .big file or copying the "-mod" designation
from one of the .bat files into a shortcut does not work
scrach that.. there are no .bat files but there is a a new .exe file. HW2Launch or something like that. annyway. i want to know what the hell has happened to this mod!
for one thing the launcher does not work and there are for some reason, other mods included in this one!
listen. if we want other mods we will get other mods but we come here to get this mod. NOT other mods!!

Willy, as the moder said in the cover page, there are 2 .bat files in the release folder and they launch the game.
hi. thanks for the fast reply but that is not what i wanted to hear. i myself told manny other people how to start the game with the 0.9 version.
but this version (0.91) does not put one or more .bat files in the release folder but instead places a "HWLaunch.exe"
ok. so, since i posted that comment i found out that my homeworld 2 on my main comute is compleatly F***ed and i have NO idea how to save it. thats why i was whining
on the other hand. i have tried this version on my other "LAN Compuer" and the launcher partially works now..
and is this version only in chinese cause i really will struggle in that case
NOTE: and in the 0.9 version there are more than two .bat files. he only pointed out the two bat files for english users because chinese users would read the readme and understand it
yope, he made it right in 0.9 and screwed up in 0.91.

My major interest now are the game modes. There are only strings there, disregarding deathmatch mode, of course.
yup. but dont worry, heel probably release an english version that actually works withing a week :3 (Hopefully :S)
oh and starting a match with the factory and that other empire (Not Fairly but the other one) it crashes at loading screen (I think it was at the universe part...)
It works fine for me. Well except for the lack of english. I am figuring things out though by trial and error. lol
Someone knows wich chinese pack(trad, simpl, other?) is needed for the game? I have installed the simplified chinese, and the words in the menu works well but look very small; the ingame words still are ascii chars
This works perfectly for me. The lack of descriptions for several ships, research, and game modes is somewhat irritating though. Still, the changes to the Fairy Empire is lovely, especially with the new flagship.
i have some questions, ahmm, can you get the debris back?, it is very boring to see a "clean" battlefield
Not been on in a while RL stuff keeping me very busy. I hope this has not changed too much so i can amend my English translation and AI build and research.
Will you upload your patch?
Fairy will problaby add it into the mod when i have sorted the kinks out. The ai now uses research except 1 race (cant figure them out). Most of the AI ships now use RU's to be built (except 1 race).
This is very unstable atm as im getting alot of crashes.
To use mine you have to extract the mod that of which she does not want people to do.

what a wonderful mod. but versus with cpu is very difficult. cpu wave is endless
so i can not check tech tree. is there any i can information about this mod?
