Description

New update. For changenotes, check the Steam Workshop. Just a reminder, suggestions here are rarely read by the developers and thus likely not worth the effort.

When you say infrastructure, you mean roads and railways right? Because building Military or Civilian Factories doesn't affect you from building infrastructure. Factories together with dockyards/shipyards, oil synthetics, rockets and nuclear reactors are in a whole different category from infrastructure and everything else.

Besides, why would you want to mod this aspect of the game? It takes away any challenge you may want or expect; Just wondering?

All you have to do is open the zip folder and copy both the Millennium Dawn Folder and the Millennium Dawn movie clip into your mods folder here:C:\Users\Simbro\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Hearts of Iron IV\mod.

If you don't have a mod folder in your Hoi4 main folder, just create a new folder and call it mod.

Hope this helps. ;)

@ Aleks52 - I've got an issue I hope you or someone here can help me with. I'm trying to add pictures of generals and admirals to your mod for "MY OWN" personal enjoyment and immersion and not because I'm being selfish. I say "MY OWN" not because I am selfish and don't want to share, but because I don't want you or anyone to think that I am modifying your mod in order to upload it as "MY OWN". I always give credit to the author of a mod and I always ask permission if I were ever to upload anything. I just don't like playing a modern day mod and then having generals and admirals who look like they're from the 1930's. I also have plans on adding leader pics for countries on the map that have no leaders, again to help with immersion.

Anyway, before anyone asks me, yes I do have photoshop and gimp with dds plugins installed and I am also a very experienced modder, having modded Modern Day Scenario for Supreme Ruler 2020 and Europa Universalis 4. I've also modded Stellaris, HoI3 and any game that I feel could do with a tweak. So I can say with confidence that I'm not a beginner. I've also watched this guys tutorial vid on youtube: Youtube.com and so far to no effect?

I've followed everything the guy has said but the leader pic isn't appearing. I edited the image on Gimp dds - no effect and on Photoshop 1.5.5.5 ARG and no effect. I've named the picture Portrait_ENG_general_Sarah_West (dds file), added it into this folder: C:\Users\Simbro\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Hearts of Iron IV\mod\millennium_dawn\gfx\leaders\ENG, but no effect.

So what I did is take a look at your USA and GER folders both within the Leaders folder and I found for example that Klaus Rheinhardt appears in-game, but his other contemporary/colleague Portrait_GER_general_Volker_Wieker doesn't appear? I even played as Germany and I can confirm this since I've got over 20 Generals already and he's not on the list whilst Rheinhardt and Stockmann are both on it.

I've reached a point now where I'm totally confused as to why this is happening. I've even tried calling my picture Portrait_genericgeneral_Sarah_West and still nothing. However, I can confirm that there is nothing wrong with the dds file since when I called it Portrait_ENG_David_Cameron, it appears in-game. It just doesn't seem to be working for generals or admirals. Even a few of your pics which you've name correctly aren't appearing in-game?

Can you or someone please help me?

If you don't buy the game, at least pirate the correct version of the game.

i ve the same problem, I use iptorrent and there is only a 1.0 version and no update files.
I eventually plan to purchase the game but a 1.0 version would be appreciated, I don't know much about modding but I don't think it would be hard to remove the 1.1 elements in your mod and release a version for 1.0.

Thank you

You have to change a single line of code in the .mod file. I will not do that for you, my apologies.
