In order for them to fix it, they need to be able to find the issue. When does the game crash? If it's in a skirmish, is it consistently crashing on the same map, with any of the same races or any of the same win conditions? Does it seem tied to a particular action?
After +10 min 1 on 1 or 2 on 2 game crash to desktop (have a big battle or just bild economic, all the same). Do not have new units. Have not steam ver. of DoW.
For example: map-Quatra, me-DE+CSM vs Daemons+Tyr. +10min and crash. Try save and load after crash, but after 1-2 min of game play game still crash to desktop ( try with lowest graphic settings - all the same, game crash). Don't have new units for DE. Put 1.84 on 1.83. Not a steam ver. of Dow.
I was going to post why I didn't notice any changes to the game itself patch after patch, but then I realized:
You screwed the installer's install folder up. It's supposed to be "X:\Program Files\THQ\Dawn of War - Soulstorm" (WITH THE HYPEN), NOT "X:\Program Files\THQ\Dawn of War Soulstorm" (WITHOUT the hypen)
The mod kept getting installed OUTSIDE the Soulstorm folder and thus it always accessed the older patches.
Just a heads up, no major issues so far, everything is ******* tight as ever, love you guys!
@ thepainkiller666, on my install, which is Steam based, the path was fine as is in the installer. In my config, it is the standard path:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Dawn of War Soulstorm
(no hyphen for steam path).
This patch looks golden, love the overall buffs, you might wanna nerf the swarmlord though, when fully upgraded and acompanied by a a Zoanthrope, he seems undamaged at all, i would recommend an increase in price if sustained, otherwise it looks like a cheap Angron.
Disregarding that new Claim World, sure its an End game expensive research, but every unit for free and instantly? its like dropping a slow living nuke that never ends, seems a bit insane, i might change it to everything is free and instant only to your buildings, not on the hivemind deepstrike thingy.
No we have a dreadknight and Nemesis Dreadknight. Nemesis dreadnight is the one in which the grandmaster can get into and triple its hp and damage. The other one is like SM dreadnight
Yes, they will most likely be included in the next grand release of the mod called "Rise of Titans" which will add new titans and win buttons along with either a fully reworked campaign or a completely new one and a ton of other stuff of course. :p

It seems like Dark Eldar splinter cannons aren't effective against infantry anymore. They struggle with taking down Imperial Conscripts. The changelog didn't mention anything about any changes with splinter cannons.
Hi, i installed the new patch yesterday and played it today and every time i played single player there was a message in the middle of the game saying " Fatal Scar error" and the game stops. If i play Multiplayer with a friend there usually is a sync-error. Can someone help pls?

Whenever I play against Deamons, my game always crashes too. I've done some testing and it seems like they never make any units that aren't Deamon Lord, Furies, or Shadow Fiends. One time when I was spectating one of the Deamon AI's, it made a Herald of Tzeench and a few seconds after, the game crashed.
I had the same issue. What i did was uninstall the game, deleted the remaining game folder and deleted all dow soulstorm related stuff in regedit. Then installed the game and the ua mod and set windows compatibility to win98/me. Working so far.
Seems like it's not working in my case, I still come to an end with CTD when I play with Daemons AI opponents or companions, as RedAlert602 had mentioned before, when the AI started to build or deepstrike(not sure) units exclusive from Deamon Lord, Furies, or Shadow Fiends, about 7mins gametime, the game will tragically crush immediately. And that is my unrigorous observation about this issue, hope it will be solved in future.
getting a SCAR error myself. Chaos against 3 AI on biffy's peril. I turned on logging and in the scar log the error shows as:

I get a scar error, at some point, every time I play the new patch. Previously on 1.83 patch, no scar errors. Only thing I did was install the new patch.
In warnings log, about 30 minutes in, get errors (multiple per second) like:
info is null:false bad ability name:, then scar error and game pauses. I can resume the game, but it happens every time
Update: for steam users, the scar issue was fixed for me so far by right clicking on soulstorm in steam library, and validate content..i did it twice. it replaced one file, and so far so good.
Update: hi again, unfortunately I keep having the scar errors, and now game crashes. I do use htcore. I reinstalled soul storm, the, and 1.84, no extra factions, and still get scar errors. I did not see this ever with patch 1.83. It seems to me that something in 1.84 is causing this.

I'm using this but.. It still crashes (In a 2vs2 battle (ChaosD,ChaosSM,SM and Inqui and in a 1vs1 battle (ChDvsInqu). Don't now whats wrong
Hm. No Edit Button. I played another match with Imp,orcs, tyranids and SM and everything was fine. It seems some races occurs a crash

I think it depends on the person because my folder does not have the hyphen in it.

There are no dreadknights, just nemesis dreadnights, dont mix them with dreadnoughts.

Oh...I forgot to metion, I didn't touch any extra SCAR setting in the scenario, all I used is the original setting in harder mode.
