This demo is the 8th in my series of standalone maps reimagining Doom 1's "Knee Deep in the Dead." While it maintains the idea of a tech base that leads to the baron of hell chamber, in my vision the outside of the structure is far more massive, resulting in a large scale, open-area battle. It makes for a more epic ending.
That map was freaking epic. Last room was a bit anticlimatic but it was still super fun. Great job.
100% agree about the ending being slightly anticlimatic. In the map it's based on, Phobos Anamoly, after killing the barons you walk up some stairs and get teleported to a monster pit and that's that. I wasn't sure how to interpret that in my own vision, so I just made a simple room loaded with enemies.
