This patch fixes a number of issues with the version of Turba distributed at PAX East 2010. Be sure to check out the description for additional info on patching.
Note: This patch is ONLY for the full version of Turba, NOT the demo. If you are interested in purchasing Turba, click here. This patch is only necessary for people who purchased Turba at PAX East 2010. If you purchased Turba anywhere else, this patch has already been applied to the copy of the game you received. When you apply the update, you will have to delete your “fav.bin” in your assets folder where you installed the game (if you have one.). Make sure to install the patch to the folder where your game is already installed.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed crash resulting from playing a song with multiple apostrophes in the title
- Fixed bug that would show folders with periods in the filepath as songs in the file browser
- Fixed blocks spawning and staying faded in Freeplay mode
- Fixed some rare double clicking/block selection bugs
- Fixed a bug the kept some unlock messages from appearing
- Fixed bug in favorite saving. Fav.bin has to be deleted before running the game
New Features
- Added support for Music CDs
- Can now scroll over high scores for more info about each one
- Now show the last 10 global scores on the score menu
- If you select a combo while dragging, those blocks can’t be deselected until you let go of the mouse
Tweaks & Polish
- Huge file browsing optimizations
- Game saves stats much more often, so in the event of a crash the user won’t lose their progress
- Added functionality that remembers where in the file system you were
- Changed some numbers for various unlock levels (slower fail, faster BB fade, 2x beat streak)
- Increased the width of the level select file system
