This is the first 'proper' release of TRW, including The Construct, Dojo fight, Rooftop chase and more!
This is kind of a demo version, but I also consider it the first release - the levels included are pretty much finished, save for bugs.
This version includes:-
The Construct
-Kung fu Arena
-The Dojo
-Rooftop chase part 1
-A hidden level
Please bear in mind that the overall mod is still in development, so expect to see bugs, rendering glitches, etc.
The standard Max Payne levels kind of work, but I've honestly not got round to testing them properly yet. Definitely expect weird / lame things to happen.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy it. Feel free to let me know what you think - what works well, what doesn't.

Unpack the rar file with winrar (http://www.filehippo.com/download_winrar/), and then copy trwdemo.mpm and the folder TRWprofile to your Max Payne install folder (default: C:\program files\Max Payne; On steam it'll be something like \Steam\steamapps\common\Max Payne). Run Max Payne, and choose trwdemo from the "Choose Customised Game" menu. Please refer to the readme.txt and windows7.txt for more detailed, step by step instructions.

You should get your old MP back, unless you got it on your phone... which is more awesome. I always put the game files on my USB keychain to hold close to me, because Max Payne really means a lot to me.
Thank you, I felt this day was gone to vidya waste, with no willingness to play anything, but you lighten up my mood.
I have tried it and so far, is good, very good but different,
not as something bad, just, well it feel very very different, I can see improvements, perhaps a greater range of moves and expecially a more reactive dangerous AI, althought I am confused by the omission of the second "weapon", the second style, the one focused more on the legs, which I figured it made sense, you can fit only so many moves in one "weapon" of course I havent played it too much right now but, this is how is going so far.
Hi Supremax, thanks for your feedback. The second weapon is saved for Neo's stick fighting. You can pick up the staff in the dojo by going to the weapon rack on the right hand side of the level, and pressing the use button.

Hey guys I keep getting an error when i try to run this, I get to the loading screen then before the main menu "Exception in engineIinit: R_script: Can't parse assignment to variable "Speed"....etc then the game crashes. Does anyone know how I can fix this?
Could you take a screenshot of the error please? And also a screenshot of your Max Payne installation folder would be helpful too. Also, make sure you're running in compatibility mode (Windows XP, Service Pack 3).

Check your Max Payne installation folder - you should have a file called x_data.ras in there. If you don't, that's why you're getting the error - x_data.ras contains the entire game database and both TRW and Max Payne need it to run. If you fixed Max Payne's sound with a different version of the sound patch, you may have a 'data' folder there instead - that will run Max Payne, but will conflict with TRW and other mods.
What you have to do is uninstall / reinstall Max Payne, apply the sound patch that comes with TRW, and then install TRW -- step by step instructions can be found in Documents\Windows7.txt included with the mod.
awesome, it worked. It was the sound patch, something went wrong in the process and the conversion was not complete, got it working now thx :D
feedback, i like the old neo's shootdodge better (pistols and duals look good, but the rifle shootdodge seems to be out of place) and i keep dying from wall-run-shoot, its fairly easy to die from a high fall without cheat on xD
Loved trinity's move, really flowing there! and morpheus's aswell, too bad cant play as him in other levels yet :p

Just downloaded this. All i have to say is WOW. This is one fun mod you have here. From the trailer i can see there are more levels and that highway one looks to be fun. I hope to play them soon. One problem, On the hotel level when you are running away from the agents it gets to a dead end and is impossible to kill the agents normally. I had to trick him into falling off. The level didn't end or continue though. Is it not finished? Keep it up man I really want to play more of those levels when they are done.

The next levels I'm working on are the Lobby and Roof. Plus one other level, TBD. I'm currently working on these now, and I hope to have them finished and testing in 2-3 months time.

Please check my reply on the mod's front page. Your Max Payne folder should have the TRWdemo.mpm file and TRWprofile folder. I recommend starting from a clean install of Max Payne and following the instructions in the windows7.txt file.

I'm not 100% sure right this minute, but it sounds like you might need to reinstall the mod (and possibly Max Payne). In the documents folder you should find a text file called windows7.txt - please follow the installation instructions in there, and let me know how you get on.
i wanna change my default neo character with the one he was like at lobby shoutout...i can change it via developerkeys but every time i logout it resets to The One skin..how am i supposed to do that.
Hi, a custom launcher will be released soon which will allow you to play the mod with any skin. In the meantime it's not possible to save your skin if you change it in-game. However, you can edit the txt / h files in the TRWprofile folders to change the default skin.
