I don't know why, but it doesn't work for me. The download works fine, and the installer seems to work at first, but when it's finished there's no shortcut to open the mod from. I've tried several times, but it's always the same, even after reinstalling the game.

No. Versions 0.9x are launched like any other normal Warband mod (or as Native).
Just launch the game and pick The Deluge when selecting mods.

There's no shortcut in this version (it's no longer needed). Just launch the M&B Warband and pick The Deluge when selecting mods. That's all.

It should. Although, I cannot guarantee that. None of us have Mac and there's no way we can test it ourselves.
i installed it on mac using Unarchiver app, only thing not working is that the text does not show up (Name, options text, Servers, ect.)

Mod is great but I've noticed a few bugs.
There are missing textures for pikes and halberds and Jannisary sword, I mean they are invisible.
