"our privately hosted server" too far away from open world (yellow lag) - i think only this is bottleneck.
Just move it to regular datacenter - Hetzner for example and all will be good.

Any servers running this mod are run by individuals as we no longer host a professional server as there was not enough players to justify it. Connections can be expected to be of a corresponding quality.

Hi, guys! Is this really 1.67? After CLEAN install, i get just 1.64 version, but NOT 1.67 - it`s displayed in main menu!

Don't worry about that. That's 1.67.
It is a quick release to get a closure on the discontinued mod so it gets an Open Single Player feature and included server files in case anyone wants to host one.
In my opinion a very nice gesture from the developers.

This apparently is open single player only. For some reason, the read me folder is also missing, so you will have to find the docs out of an older version to explain the console commands and such, like widescreen use.

Is there a way to get a regular solo mission version? I didn't see any setup options in mod manager and the load screen only has open button as an option to start a game.

Yes! This is how a discontinued project should spin off, huge salute to the developers.
The ship parking and hitchhiking system despite being console-based is pure awesomeness and the 'help' commands tell the player everything they need to know how to use them.
Probably the best and surely is the only balanced mod for Freelancer. Can even support 1920x1080 which is a nice surprise as custom resolutions weren't common in 2011. Hard to believe it is based on DirectX 8, it looks so nice and much much better than the original Freelancer.
