Release 1
These are the sound files for Star Wars Battlefront (2004) and Star Wars Battlefront II (2005).
Credits to Phantom for his Sound extractor program (https://github.com/phantom567459/SoundFMVextractor)
and for helping me (BAD_AL) out with a few files that the program failed on.
Credit to my good friend 'https://github.com/marler8997' who wrote the 'deinterlace.exe'
(https://github.com/marler8997/audio-deinterlacer) program, which allows us to de-interlace the quadraphonic audio files specified in the .st4 files.
And of course Credits to LucasArts and Pandemic for making such wonderful games/assets and delivering
such great modtools.
To use the SWBF2 files, copy the 'BF2\Sound' folder to your 'data_ABC\' folder.
To use the BF1 sound files, copy the BF1\Sound folder in your 'dataXXX' folder.
To understand how the BF1 & BF2 sound system works consult the following resources:
Secretsociety.com
Gametoast.com
Swbfgamers.com
If you are a SWBF1/2 modder or want to be one, consider joining the GameToast Discord Discord.gg
I've included a few programs in this package:
ffmpeg.exe - wonderful for converting audio files (https://www.ffmpeg.org/).
deinterlace.exe - Program used to de-interlace the quadraphonic files specified in the .st4 files.
(These are typically the 'ambient' background sound files. If you use Phantom's program to extract
these files, you'll hear pulses of sound in these files.
If you get an error stating that the input file is not divisible by 2, open the
file in Audacity, zoom as far as you can on the end of the clip and remove 1 sample)
FindMissionSoundFiles.exe - This program will processes through all the .stm, st4 & .sfx files and print out
anything that is referenced in those files and not in place.
WavHelper.exe - This Gui program can help you explore the sound folders. Paste in a path (and optionally use a filter)
To display .wav files under the folder. The sould file will automatically play when you change the
focused item. There is a context menu which will appear if you right-clck. Press <enter> or click
'Find Results' to list the files matching the criteria specified in the Form.
Thanks
Marking this as *Beta*
There are some (now) known issues with BF1.
BF1:
* Missing Shell sound files
* World sounds missing/wrong
* Missing BF1 'munge all sounds' file
Thanks for doing this! For what Im doing, this will be real helpful.

Just want to say that this has been a really useful resource to not only rebuild full lvls for base game replacements (most useful for modding the console versions of the game, particularly for total conversions), but it also really really helps to understand the layout and behavior of the sound system in both Battlefront games.
How to extract FRENCH .lvl sounds ?
It does come with a command line tool that can do that (SoundRipperVB.exe).
Updated:
Added some missing Sounds, fixed the BF2 PS2 sound munge, added tools to check that the PS2 and XBOX sound files aren't too big.
No Galactic Conquest lines from BF1?
