Note

This does only work for the base game and does not work with DLCs like Green Planet, since those use their own main menu.

How to install

• download zip file
• unpack with 7zip
• copy the file with the desired frame rate into the `Movies` folder of the game
  • if you have >144Hz, use the 144 fps one, it should be good enough
• overwrite the original `Main Menu.ivf`

How does this work?

Surviving Mars locks the framerate in the main menu to the refresh rate of the video played in the background. In order to bypass this stupid behaviour I have upsampled the background video to a higher framerate.

PS: a "proper" fix is in the works, but I will wait until the last patch will drop around Jan 2022.
