Updated version of the mod for compatibility with the cosmetics update (08.10.20)
This update changes how the Rusviet infantry works. The Rusviet AI wasn't really able to work with their weaker units, and the units you choose at the start of a match were too expensive and should basically cost only half a coin, which is impossible. Instead, the Rusviet infantry groups now consist of 10 members, but keep their halfed HP and repair costs. Training costs are reset to their original values, as you are now basically always buying two units at once. This introduces some new bugs, but none of them are gamebreaking: When you start a match, your starting units will only be at half strength (5 members per unit), but they can quickly be restored to full strength. When occupying a weapon platform, there are now 7 people standing around the gun instead of 2. And finally, when training weapon platforms their squad will also only be at half strength (5 members). If I can find a fix for the last one in the future, I'll definitly implement it in an update. Also, bunkers should work without a problem, even though they only have 5 slots.
Other changes/fixes:
- compatibility with the new Iron Harvest update
- all barracks units training times are halfed (except for the Rusviet, as their building times were already half of the original) so the game is even more focused on infantry and trench warfare
- all grenadiers get +25% health to make them a respectable core of your army and to more easily counter gunner-spam
- sandbags are now free to build
- landmine's iron cost halfed to make them an actual worthwhile investment
You know those mods that post a changelog and have you nodding along approvingly to every single change? Thats how reading these change logs feel. Great changes, hopefully Rusviet feels better to play as/against. This mod remains the best reason to purchase the game.
