LOCAL MOD INSTALLATION
- Go to Documents/Endless Space 2/Community and extract StarColors to that location
(If there is no Community folder, make one and then make sure StarColors is in it)
- Now in Documents/Endless Space 2/Community/StarColors there should be two files (StarColors.xml and StarColors.png) and a Mapping Folder
- Launch Game
- Select Mods from main menu, select the Star Colors - Palette Mod that should have "Local" on it and then click confirmed.
MANUAL INSTALLATION
WARNING: This is altering a core game file and may make multiplayer incompatible. Make sure you back up the file altered.
This will allow you to use the new template without disabling achievements
- Go to your Endless Space 2 installation folder. You can right click on Endless Space 2 in your steam library and select properties -> Local Files -> Browse Local Files
(Usually the directory is Program Files/Steam/steamapps/Common/Endless Space 2)
- Find the palettes.xml file in Endless Space 2/Public/Mapping and back it up. You can simply rename the file "original_palette.xml" if you want
- Extract the palettes.xml file in the StarColors.rar file in the Mapping folder and put it into the Mapping Folder in your game data
Hopefully this will help until Amplitude fixes their Steam Workshop support.
