Just checking, but has this script taken into account that the customized 32-bit StalkerSoup engine currently has an inbuilt safe limit of around 1,000 items in any inventory, in order to avoid CTDs due to memory overflow?

Also, that all 'mods' to this game need to be submitted to TecnoBacon first, to avoid upsetting the engine balance, and players complaining that the game is unstable...

If the mod is accepted, it can be included in the game as standard with a switchable option in the Modder's Script, and a credit to the author

There's much more information on these topics in the main forum here

I Didn't know about the item safe limit, i'll update the description with a warning about it. Thank you for the advice!

Notes from TecnoBacon re creating mods for StalkerSoup. Hoping they help...

SS is built in a different way then any other mod and actually the whole game is built differently.

Over 10 years ago, when I started the original SS mod on Steam, I discovered a slap in the forehead discovery that even now exists in almost all other mods, as well as the original games.

This rebuilding of the originals, as well as NS and additions from other MODS and modders, I reduced the number of crashes substantially while adding levels and a huge amount of new content.

What I did to help outside modders work with SS is that I created support for 'plug-ins' and 'packages' that makes it better for the user, as they protect the original installation if the mod is removed.

For those who want to add story content I have developed a DLC system that kicks in after the SS storyline is complete.

We are at a point where I will break from working on the story for a bit, and publish details on how each works and what the best process is to be 100% SS compatible.

It might be a good idea to tell modders that they should check with me.

Also you can use the tb3d.modders.script file to set some of what that mod is doing, as well as the alife settings in the stalkersoup\options folder which get copied to the game folder on launch.

Imo afaik all DLC levels from 4 to 10 have now been taken up; for levels 0 to 3, TB needs to be contacted to allocate DLC constructs to interested volunteers.

This mod has been safely integrated within the game itself, creating a new 'Gatherer' mode which enables you to carry up to 1800kg+

As such, it's no longer necessary to download it from here :-)
