does it have mod support? i really want to play castle totenkof with this
It supports classic mappacks (that have no code changes, just new maps).
Like "SoD Extreme" (see in my mod profile, 1 but not 2), "Bitter End", "Odds and Ends"...
We do plan to make special SplitWolf maps in the future.
More advanced wolf3D mods obviously have unique coding features (coding-wise) that will conflict, but also art-wise all enemies and Bosses need full 8-direction frames, including (non-existing in those mods) directional pain and shooting frames for enemies etc... So it'd be unplayable both artwise and coding-wise.

There are plenty of Wolf3d mappacks outthere you can play, just replace the map files.
Another recommended mappack from excellent mapper is Thomas' Wolfenstein 3-D aka TW3D60
BTW, is this based on wolf3dsdl or on ecwolf?

I put the mod in the wolfenstein folder but I cannot play split screen, help!
(after you add your original Wolf3d/SOD files into the folder) you play it from the batch file Run_SplitWolf.bat, but you have to setup correctly the Wolf3D/SOD version you're using inside that batch file:
SplitWolf4SDL_versions.bat {NUMBER}

2 - Wolf3D v1.4 GT/ID/Activision Full

Or you can run the corresponding exe directly with batch file of this format (example):
splitwolf-wolf3d_full.exe --debugmode --split 2 --res 640 400 --splitlayout 2x1
(choose your own preferred resolution and layout 2x1 or 1x2 (vertical or horizontal split))
