I've got fonts' issue with Steam HL - some letters in menu and console have been replaced by white or orange restangles (happens randomly after level changes). ShinyWaterTest & test_mirrorfloor have strange glitchy visuals. Same as there, Barney's model has texture / lighting problems on other test maps. Also game begin to crash constantly on normal HL maps if I try to switch between using of LD/HD models. It's probably because of that strange feature of Trinity which is rebuilding standard models for its' own needs. Looks like very bad idea on practice, not stable enough for real use.
I don't really know about the fonts issue but I'll try to reproduce if you can give me some other details.
Mirror building is working on framebuffers so because of the half life's weird handling of fbs you have to use borderless fullscreen mode for it.
HD models are not yet supported, like I said in the article.
I also don't know about the barney textures, I'll look into that.
Lastly, yes. It's not stable yet and thats why its not in its 1.0 version. We're still in a kind of early access state.
I assume the fonts problem is something rendering related, like if the effect (it could be something related to mirrors / water) intended to be applyied on world textures begins to apply on interface textures too and they get "broken". This happens randomly with testing maps. Looks like switching to windowed mode helps to reduce the chance of problem's appearing.
I didn't switch to windowed mode before. Now I see this really fixes rendering (except the problem of Barney's textures on testing maps).
HD models can work, the problem happens if you try to switch between LD/HD. Because "models" contains newly created models. As I found out it's because of sub-parts of mdl-files involved (Trinity only modify the main *.mdl and do not put *01/*02/*T models along with it in "models"), so after switching between LD/HD their sub-parts (with different animations) begin to conflict and game crashes. After I copied missed sub-parts, the crash doesn't happen. But, because models were replaced, LD/HD switching doesn't work as intended. You have to manually delete created models to fix this.
Still, the idea to patch existing mdl-files is a bad option of Trinity, IMO.
Why not add materials sistem from Condition Zero Deleted scenes. Its actually very good for Goldsrc engine and I don't Valve applyed yoe evry Goldsrc game.
Questions :
-Is there a possibility to add PBR textures both for the models and for the Map details? do you think trinity engine would be able to support that feature?
It is kind of possible; but, even with just normal maps, the models start to stutter a bit (ex. paranoia's rendering). Thus, sorry but this is out of this project's scope for now. Maybe later though...

i like it but its strangely unstable when trying to play the original maps like in c1a0 almost insta crashes when loading or when the door opens or in c1a1 when it was a explosion created by those lasers(although explosions worked fine in the test maps things)also is it normal for hd models to conflict very weirdly with the mod
I really don't know the original map issues. I've played the entire campaign just before the release and didn't have any issues.
HD/LD conflict is normal and fixed in the next version 0.6.0.
