An update to the SMOD Outbreak mod by veteran_gamer. Changes this version include weapon tweaks, map changes and more. See File/Full Details for more info.
SMOD OUTBREAK will be the best thing that has happened for half-life 2, since half-life 1. Ultimately the player shall decide if such a bold statement is true. It's not perfect, because I'm not perfect, I've also done all of this by myself, except for the last few months where I was blessed with some help, enabling me to include key game-play/visual features. I hope this brings enjoyment to many, bless all those who try it out, and I thank The Author for creating the ultimate source sandbox, SMOD, the king of Mods.
Extract the archive into your steamapps\sourcemods\ dir, good to go.
- d1_town_01 - removed about 60 npcs (holy shit!), hope it performs better without really noticing difference.
- d1_canals_02 - removed about 30 NPC's or so, to hopefully reduce lag for all systems. added a few more models in the cache
- Tweaked nightvision values....lights up the dark, but doesnt burn in the daytime (cvar)
- Restored original combine_helicopter
- Enabled deathcam for player death (cvar)
- change player start point on d1_canals_02
- changed sk_plr_dmg_crowbar from 0, to 45, oops cvar
- AR2 maxammo is 360 cvar-----
- SMG1 maxammo is 410
- Pistol maxammo is 240
- 357 maxammo is 132
- Buckshot maxammo is 36
- RPG maxammo is 6
- Crossbow maxammo is 24
- Grenade maxammo is 5------cvar
