This version of the Skalgrim mod is the largest expansion to date with further focus on Necrons and Space Marines in particular. Thanks to the amazing work of Dire_Venom, modders like me can now add entirely new shipslots. As you can imagine this opened up many possibilites that just was not there earlier. As such a ton of new ships have been added and annoying stuff that I was forced to use earlier to get ships into the game have since been fixed. With this version several factions get access to "Mega Titans", ships of such power and grandeur that they in essence are entire fleets of their own. The (upgraded from vanilla) Phalanx for Space Marines, the Flagship of the Emperor of Mankind- the Imperator Somnium for Imperial Navy, and the Throne of the Silent King for Necrons. Further balance has been done, thanks to a dedicated team of beta-testers on my discord. (Link is on Moddb if you want to join.)
Skalgrim mod changes stats for Ordnances like fighters and bombers, decreases their reload time and makes them better and more worth the points spent on carriers. It changes the stats for weapons, units, and campaign related things. It rebalances the game and makes for several times larger battles by both lowering shipcosts and increasing the amount of points available for both fleets and battles.Fleet sizes grow with levels just as in the original game, but to much greater sizes. You can also have more fleets. It rebalances critical hits, making bigger ships more resistant to crits. It rebalances morale, but increasing the rate at which morale regenerates, and several morale related effects. It buffs and changes many abilities, meaning that your choices matter more as a admiral.
In this modversion I'v included the Greater Customization Submod - It lets you change your campaign settings to an higher degree.
The +25% health submod is also no longer in use since this version and onwards as its included.
Skalgrim mod does not strive to be perfectly balanced, but guarantees massive battles unlike that in the original game including some new content. Balancing and changes are also an ongoing project, so check back for news. Im just one guy working on this mod so don't expect to much.

GC Mk1, this is a close quarter Grand Cruiser that has the Spur ability and can deal lots of damage close up.
GC Mk2, this is a long range Grand Cruiser that can devastate enemies from afar with powerful lances.
Warmonger BB, This White Scars BB is like a spear, ultra fast and with lots of torpedoes and a Spur its best used to ram into selected targets to cause massive damage.
Ravens Claw BB, This Raven Guards BB is the only BB that can become hidden, and has greater range for its boarding and more room for assualt craft, making it a deadly enemy that can cripple high value targets from afar with boarding strikes.
Centurion BB, This Ultra Marines BB is a powerfull BB with extended Sensor range. Its excellent as a leadership role but does not excell in any specific thing other than this.
Aegis BB, This Imperial Fists BB is a slow, lumbering medium range BB that can take a pounding and still turn the tide of battle with its massive broadsides and numerous cannons.
Luminor BB, This Iron Hands BB is deadly in long range and has the Nova Cannon, but struggles at closer ranges.
Sangius BB, This Blood Angels BB is the ultimate assualt craft carrier, while lightly armed with only one powerful weapon, its extra launch bays more than make up for this for the commander that knows how to use them.
Bane Bringer BB, This Space Wolf BB is a true beast in dealing damage at a short to mid-range frontal assualt, with lots of torpedoes and several rapid fire light cannons in its extended prow.
Vulcans Flame BB, This Salamanders BB is deadly with its many torpedoes, including its melta ones, but what sets it appart is its ancient Volkite weapon in the front, which has a very short range but deals immense damage with high critical chances.
Mega Titan: Phalanx. The Upgraded Phalanx has untold numbers of weapons, and while slow and lumbering can crush any ship that dares get to close to it.

New Titan: Osiris, this massive super carrier can strike from hiding in the shadows with swarms of deadly necron fighter crafts. Weak in close combat and only having some offensive weapons itself its best kept away from the fight.
New Mega Titan: The Throne of the Silent King. This massive, slow and lumbering, but very deadly Mega Titan can decimate entire fleets of enemies.
New BS: Aphophis, this BS can become hidden while moving at a suprisingly fast speed towards its foes. It has the best assualt-crew ready to strike at the heart of enemy formations, a Hellfire beam cannon and lots of short range weapons. Its main advantage however comes from it having the Spur ability - letting it ram ships in quick succession with devestating effect.

New Titan: Behemoth. This massive titan only has its powerful psychic powers and its hard outer shell as offensive weapons and lacks shields - but with this you can smash through most enemy fleets with ease.
New Escort: Infected Plasmoid. This suicide creature dies in a powerful plasma explosion that damages shields and health, and also creates a lingering spore cloud that slows and damages enemies over time.

New BS: Deviant. This is a "glass cannon" of sorts that does alot of damage at range but cannot take the fight up close and personal.

The Eternal Crusader and Victus Imperialis both use the Ultramarines insignia. This cannot be fixed, but lots of people still ask me about it.
New ships have a blue screen instead of a ship-picture in their shipslot. While in game this changes to a picture of the Macragges Honor. This is part of how we'v added new shipslots to the game and unavoidable.
Some abilities/skills added to the new super defensive stations for Chaos and Imperial Navy do not work as intended - some do not damage the enemy, or cause no effects. Their addition was never intended, but unavoidable based on how such structures are made.

Installation.

This is made for single (skirmish and campaign) play. Using or trying to use the mod for online (multiplayer or singleplayer play might get you permanently banned unless you deactivate the EAC as per installation instructions.)
NOTE: You can play this with a friend- if you both have the same mod version.
Its higly recommended that you start a new campaign even with changes of modversion. Certain ships, defence stations etc will otherwise keep their old stats and not be completely affected by the mods changes.

Install instructions:
1: Pray to the Omnissiah.
2: You need change the launch options in Steam. This is done by right-clicking on the game in Steam - Then selecting properties - Then Set Launch Options. Here you need to write -NoEAC . Good, now you need to start up the game. It should read Stormancer disabled in the top right corner. If it does, you are now free to start installing the mod.
3: Make a safe copy version of your gamefiles.
Copy all files in Battlefleet Gothic Armada II\BattlefleetGothic2\Content\Data and \Content\Localization and \Content\Splash (your games install directory) create a folder somewhere for them and name it whatever you want. This is your original files, swaping them with the modded lets you go back to previous configurations if you so wish. Also note that during updates of the game you might need to replace files from your modded versions with the newly added ones from updates if you want the mod to work.
2: Extract Skalgrim Mod from .rar file. Replace all (or selected) folders and subfolders and files with the ones in the rar-archive.
3: Create a new folder inside you Paks folder named "Stock". Place your "BattlefleetGothic2-WindowsNoEditor.pak" file which is inside the Paks folder in the "Stock" folder. You should have two folders now inside Paks, one named "Stock" and one named "Z-Skalgrim Mod". There should be one (40:ish GB) file in Stock-folder and one much smaller in Z-Skalgrim Mod-folder.
4: Pray to the Omnissiah.
5: Play and gasp in wonder as your might fleets lay waste to your enemies.

Important: There is currently no support for non-english languages. Im trying to get russian translation done, but it seems the current russian language file shipped with the mod for the first few hours on launch was corrupted. - Reinstall vanilla localisation files and re-download the mod again if you have any problems.
There might come translated files in the future as submods instead.

Its because you have either not done the rollback installation which is needed, or have not followed the installation instructions of the mod after the rollback.
The increased ship slots sound great!
I was interested in the mod in the past but in the end never really tried it because it looked like it was very space marine focused and removed vanilla ships.
But with more ship variety it seems like a no brainer to download now.
Throne of the silent king in dispersed lightning arc stance is the best thing ever.
Game even freezed for a moment when i jumped into the middle of the enemy fleet.

Mod does not work when trying to get into Skirmish. Crashes when hitting battle on main menu, but loads up campaign fine. Re-installed and still had no luck.

Quick question, how do you deal with turrets/space stations early game? Chaos has built them in every they have left by turn 8. My empire ships generally get one shot by the space stations (turrets) where as I can barely scratch them. The only way I've been able to win games vs turrets is if it's the capture points. And I just wait it out.
You can change the custom options to make the Ai build less defenses if they are troublesome.
But in general, a good counter is using lots of carriers with assualt craft and bombers - or long range weapons like torpedoes or lances.
Yea I ended taking a few long range cruisers to destroy defences. Bombers get destroyed quite quickly by the fighter craft they unleash.
While playing the Necrons I've had no issues with defences. They can take a lot of damage and deal incredible damage back out.
Hi, I don't know if anything weird happened, but the mod worked perfectly fine for a bit, I came back today and I couldn't see any of the new ships that are BC size and above. With the only exception being the imperial navy, although I couldn't see the Imperator somnium . I have tried doing a reinstall. Anything i can do?
There was an update. Reinstall mod. Should work with normal update and -NoEAC command line as usual. There is also a Beta version you can download through steam that is made especially for mods, so if normal version don't work you can always try that one. Also remember doing the folder stuff as instructed. :P Good luck.

No not really. Im including the craftworld because there is a lore reason for it, that there are a bunch of different craftworlds that vary immensly in size. The World Engine is just massive. Its planetary sized. It just doesn't fit in the game in any way.

Yes, the versions are built upon the previous ones. I'v never counted them, but maybe 40-50 ships? Im not sure, in number of parts its either the Imperator Somnium or the Phalanx, but the Throne of the Silent King is also pretty large. In pure size in the game its still the Phalanx, which I added a ton of new weapons to.

Thank you for this incredible mod.
I only have two small issues and I hope you could help me.
1. In a single battle I can see and choose all the ships and everything is fine, but during cooperative campaign I don't have access to them. I'm not a host of the campaign. The host can buy all the ships, including new ones added by you. I can see them in battle, but cannot add them to fleet during the campaign.
2. Sometimes when a battle starts my orders bar disappears from the bottom. I can select ships and command them but basically have no hud so it's impossible to play. Restarting the game helps but still it's a bit annoying. I don't know if that's caused specifically by this mod, but I didn't have this issue before.
Well, first off, does the mod work when you play single player?
You can only get the ships in campaign when you are high enough in level, for BS and Titans thats lvl 9 for instance.
Things like missing hud and stuff is not something that the mod touches, thus your problems are probably not related to it.
Make sure you have the updated game, reinstall mod etc. Also for coop to work you need to be using the Beta version of the game and not the standard one.
What pc specs are needed to run this mod well? Great job by the way.
Thats hard to say as it gives you the options to max battles out to an insane degree if you want to. If you use the vanilla games 4000 pts skirmish "mega" battles as an example for what your computer can handle - and then go up around 50% in battlesize that would probably be a pretty standard late game battle with the mod at 100-120%:ish battle size.
this mod does not appear to work I have followed the steps multiple times now and whe the game loads it appears to me working but well in game i am not seeing any new ships just more OP versions of the base game.

Yes, thats one of the major differences to the base game and my mod - I let you play with titans that are locked otherwise to a few scripted maps.

You move the "content" folder from the .rar into "Battlefleet Gothic Armada II\BattlefleetGothic2\" then your computer asks you if you want to replace a number of files - and you let it. This overwrites the base games files with the modded ones.
