Main changes from 3.4:
New keybindings for all game modes -- now you can press "E" to toggle the Intelligence screen (to view the stats of all players), press "F1" to toggle the event menu (there're also help tips and a system clock in it), press "O" to check the game objectives (both primary and secondary), press "\" to toggle the music player control panel, and press " ' " to toggle the Class Selector (also the cheat menu)! Minor unsolvable issue: when pressing these hotkeys in the save menu of skirmish mode, the corresponding interfaces can still be activated, so you have to manually click to close them (the intended keyboard inputs are still valid though).
Improved AI -- including a working AI for the Territories game mode (all races and maps)!
Improved weapon effects -- most beam weapons now look fantastic (thanks to effects from the STC mod)!
![new fx (STC FX)]()
Improved sound effects -- now more weapon sound effects can be played at the same time.
Smoother frame rate (theoretically) -- this is done by partitioning several huge complex functions into smaller chunks and letting them run at smaller intervals so that CPU load can be distributed more evenly across time. As a side benefit, this also makes some of the UI buttons much more responsive.
More friendly UI design -- including a new help tip box in the skirmish menu and many aesthetic enhancements
![new help tip box]()
Rebalanced many weapons (again...)
New maps
More epic music
In skirmish mode, when the entire game is over, you can still choose to continue messing around (i.e., sandbox).
Most fighters and corvettes will now split into individuals (instead of staying in large squadrons) upon entering a battle. This effectively increases their chance of survival in combat (similar to the PTV mod).
All solar system maps have been reworked to make the gaming experience immersive -- the sun is really glowing like a nuclear fireball this time, ring system has been added, and many planets now have 8K textures!
![stellaris]()
Planets can now generate energy -- the more population you have, the more energy you will get (a logarithmic relationship). The planets can now also be attacked. If a planet is under attack, its population could get killed. The civilian death toll is dependent on the level of orbital bombardment (inspired by Stellaris). A long-lasting heavy bombardment could wipe out the entire population on a planet!
![Planet population can be killed by orbital bombardment]()
New menu options -- you can now set the unit capacity to infinite! But this is only for testing and you should know your game will certainly crash at some point because Homeworld 2 is a 32-bit program (RAM limitation etc.).
![Infinite Unit Caps!]()
Vaygr can now build Mechanics to automatically repair damaged ships -- these are like the Hiigaran Patchers but only more advanced. They can be upgraded with repair beam and even the repair beam itself can be upgraded!
![repair beam (FX by mickey_312)]()
Small ships will now automatically try to escape from big ships' explosion -- you can disable this behaviour by setting their tactics to aggressive, or you can simply press "S" to stop them during the escape manoeuvre.

would play this but it says the files downloaded are damaged..
the rar is compressed in RAR5 format. you must unzip it using WinRAR 5.0 or higher version.
Is there a way to change Hammerhead model from that THING back to how it was in old versions?
The old model was just the Keeper, and some people don't like Vaygr to own the Keeper because they already got the Dreadnaught.
So, I am new to this mod and I really like it so far, great work!
But is there any way to play without ships like the battle arc, the "swimmers", hammerheads, mother of all ships, etc?
A simple option, an older version or something else?
vaygr needs those units for game balance. otherwise it's too weak against other CPU Experts.
0PT1CZ they can be disabled or replaced pretty easily if you know the game files, if you want any help just ask ( i replaced a lot of ships with warlords ships lol )
